Dominican Republic HM
Just wondering if any of you were planning to HM in the Dominican Republic. I know Punta Cana is very popular and also heard Puerto Plata is nice too.
If anyone has suggestions or advice on areas/resorts please share!

We're looking into it, but haven't booked anything yet. Excellence looks nice and a couple of girls had good things to say about it on here.

I say Punta Cana is nicer because the water is different in Puerto Plata, its on the other side of the island, where the water isnt as nice as in Punta Cana. i went in June to PC and have a resort in my pics albums that was fulled with honeymooners when i went.

It wasn't for my HM but in May I went to Punta Cana at the Majestic Colonial there and it was beautiful, we got engaged there!

it is still beautiful, but not as nice because its the Atlantic Ocean, some hotels I suggest are: Majestic Colonial, Gran Bahia Principe, LTI, Excellence (beautiful resort, but closer to the atlantic ocean as well, so the beach is different then the others, but they cater to couples-couples only), Punta Cana Princess (couples only as well) also, dont go if youre not going to stay in a 5 star hotel!!
