our UPDATES! Please post what have you been up to!

I'll start...

Well, as most of you know, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on September 22, who will be 15 weeks tomorrow, and Mike and I are proud parents! We love him beyond our imagination! I was out on maternity leave for 3.5 months and I return to work on Monday.

We will start apartment/house hunting sometime this year

I did receive my wedding video but have not done my album yet...although I did pick out the pictures...I just have to get it to DUET.

Since we've gotten married 7/15/06, we gave birth to our little angel, Gracelyn Nicole on 7/7/07 and shortly after that closed on a house. DH has been working his butt off making it our home. It's been a busy year. I haven't felt more complete...being a mommy and a wife.

I also changed schools & I'm teaching at a private school on LI (instead of Queens & cutting down on my once 1:45 minute drive).

We're hoping to start TTC again this summer to give Gracie a brother or sister.

DH and I are expecting our first or in May.

I plan to take the entire summer off after giving birth. It will be my first summer off since college, and I am really looking forward to it.

We also just put an offer on a house, and the offer was accepted!!! If all goes well we will be in the house by March.

We bought our house less than a month after our wedding and have done MANY renovations in the last year.

I'm in my tenure year teaching 8th grade, although it is my 5th year teaching altogether.

As some of you may know from LIF, we are also working concieving our first , but unfortunately are dealing with some issues.

Hoping 08 will bring lots of luck to everyone!

Well we bought a house less than a month ago in Nassau County...we are really liking our new town ANd home ownership is good...so far

I will get tenure in April or August depending on when NYC wants to give it to me...

We are hoping for a litlte bundle this year...I am secretly hoping we have twins...since it runs in both of our families...but a healthy pregnancy and baby would be just fine

we moved to NJ a few weeks after our wedding.
after the 1st 9 months here, DH finally got a job in NYC so he didnt have to commute to LI anymore!

We moved into our house in April 2007. We have been busy painting and doing cosmetic updates to the house and furnishing it.

Otherwise we are enjoying married life.

We are going on a cruise to Alaska this summer and plan to start TTC shortly after that.

Hopefully closing on our house this week! Other than that, just teaching (5th year) first grade and getting a certification in school building and district administration. My sister is preggers so I'm looking forward to becoming an aunt in July and maybe starting sometime this year trying to have our own...

DH and I bought a house in January 2007.

From there, we finally got to enjoy our honeymoon to the Sandals resort in the Bahamas.

We used the rest of the year to host parties, make changes to the house, and just relax. We celebrated our anniversary in Newport, RI again.

We just finished hosting our families for the holidays, and 2008 isn't bringing much of anything different for us. Just continue working on the house on what needs to be done, traveling to FL (hopefully) to visit some family, and finally travelling a few times to Cincinnatti, OH to visit my SIL who is expecting twins in May/June.

I wish all the '06 girls who are TTC in 2008 the best of luck and my prayers are with you all!

Oh, I completely forgot to add that DH and I added a puppy to our lives in June. She's our princess, and we love her, even if she chews up all her toys after a few days! Here she is:

DH and I bought a house. The closing was taking forever and the baby wanted out early. So, the night of 8/16 we officially moved in and the next morning I was on my way to the hospital to deliver my 'little' bundle of joy!!! Needless to say, it's taken us a while to unpack. DH was a trooper putting all the baby stuff together!

Michael Benjamin was born 8/17 at 11 pounds 8 ounces!!!


At one month!!!! We realized his length was growing even more than his weight!

Christmas morning he was spoiled and worn out!


The health problems I was showing before pregnancy have gotten much worse and we are battling so much right now. We are so happy with our bundle of joy, but know there is a long battle ahead of us.

Hello to everyone from Texas! We didn't buy a house because we already owned one. But we are expecting a little baby of our own. The baby is due on June 19th, one day after our 2 year anniversary. We are working on some remodeling of our home including remodeling a room for the baby. We are planning a little babymoon in February / March to Italy.

We haven't bought a house and we aren't thinking about kids at the moment, but we have 2 cats :). After we got married I returned to Sydney, Australia, where DH is from, as a resident. I was living there prior to getting married, but I had a student visa. I teach ESL (Australia has a large foreign population and English is required in order for migrants to move to this country) in Bondi Junction (right around the corner where Real World Sydney worked at Contiki) and my DH has recently signed his name to the "Role of Solicitors" here (AKA- lawyer).

Before we got married we decided that instead of buying a house or having kids right away we would save up for travelling. Although I haven't travelled as much as I would like since we got married, we have seen some other areas in Australia and Japan. We have also fit in two visits to NY in that time, so I guess that is why we haven't travelled as much as we would've liked.

Australia is very far and at the moment we are working on moving somewhere closer to NY. B/c of his job I don't think we will live in the US b/c of the differences in legal systems and that would require a bridging course that could take him a long time. We are thinking and deciding between Germany and England and hope to move there in 6-12 months.

So in short- we are enjoying married life .

Update on me-

After the wedding, we moved into a new apartment in my Inlaws 2nd house. I left my old job, started a new one that I hated then redeemed myself & found another. I have been working there since the end of August. SInce the wedding, we went to Disney & Las Vegas.

Some bad news - I no longer am on speaking terms with my MOH. (my best friend) And if you have been following my posts you know all the drama I went through with her during my wedding planning. Well, without going into detail.. the friendship is officially over.

The really good news is that we are expecting our first baby in August. Yeay!! .

Other than that-- no other news. Jus living out happily married lives

After the wedding, we moved into a new apartment in my Inlaws 2nd house. I left my old job, started a new one that I hated then redeemed myself & found another. I have been working there since the end of August. SInce the wedding, we went to Disney & Las Vegas.

Some bad news - I no longer am on speaking terms with my MOH. (my best friend) And if you have been following my posts you know all the drama I went through with her during my wedding planning. Well, without going into detail.. the friendship is officially over.

The really good news is that we are expecting our first baby in August. Yeay!! .

2007 was a busy year!

we stayed in ocean city for a week for our one year anniversary which was awesome! we got a cat, Bella, in september who i love dearly. and yes, for those who know, DH is allergic but has been getting shots for over a year so things are getting better. DH is still working on his MBA. since his company pays only a certain amount per year, it's going to take a while but at least it's not costing us anything.

we bought our house in june 2006, a month before the wedding. since then we have been working on it like crazy. i wouldn't exactly call it remodeling--it's more like redoing since there was an apartment in our downstairs that we got rid of and are currently making into real living space thanks to a very talented and nice contractor! thanks to him it's actually starting to look like a real home!

besides that, the big news is that we're expecting a or on july 1, one week before our 2nd anniversary!! we are so excited for that and are hoping to go away for a small trip sometime in march or april.

6 months after our wedding i got pregnant, i'm due with our in 21 days!!! i quit my job to be a SAHM. In october we renewed our vows in vegas for our 1 year anniversary. i can't complain its been a great year for us!

2 weeks before our wedding we moved into our apartment in Midtown. We love it.

We have traveled to Sonoma and Napa, Vail and Florida. We are heading to Paris in a few weeks!!!!

I am also not speaking to MOH...its so funny how weddings bring out the worst in people...whats even funnier is that she ran off and got married a few months after me and is currently pregnant... I could care less for envious people.

We moved into our coop a month before the wedding. my husband opened up his own business in august of 06,we also went to the dominican republic in august with our bestfriends, we got a kitty in december of 06. then my best friend got prego in the beginning of 07 and i became an aunty in october.
my husbands business is finally taking off. and we are paying our bills off this year and im trying NOT to get prego this year.

i also am not talking to on of my bms anymore almost two months after my wedding she tells me and my other friend we had nothing in common and that was it. whatever she was right neither of us were getting anything out of the relationship anyway. i dont have to tiptoe my feelings about anything or anyone anymore.

Let's see we started house hunting in the Fall of 2006 (a few months after our wedding) and closed on our home in December of 2006. Fortunately it didn't need any major work, just a paint job. So we moved in on January 5, 2007 and we've officially been living there for a whole year now!! Here's a pic from the day we moved in.


Then we decided that since we now have a yard we wanted a puppy. We adopted a black lab mix on February 11, 2007 and named her Kasey. She's a real PITA sometimes but we love her anyway. Here's a pic from her then:


For those of you who remember Kevin's daughter, she's now 10 and in 5th grade. Here's a pic from her birthday party at our house:


In late March I was rear-ended while on my way to work and unfortunately the car was totalled. So I bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty in Atlantic Blue Pearl, everyone loves the color!!


Finally the day we'd all been waiting for, taking down those horrible trees in our front yard!!! Then we moved the bushes over to the side and planted some flowers. We got an American flag and put up navy blue shutters. The crowing touch was putting up our front railing, this is what our house looks like now except the grass has actually grown in better.


The second half of 2007 was pretty mild with minor house projects and enjoying our pool in the backyard. In September Kevin became whole again when he finally got a new drum kit, I'm his groupie!! He's also started to teach his daughter how to play, life is never quiet with 2 drummers and a dog in the house!!

Unfortunately the year ended on a sour note as my Grandpa was in the hospital for 2 weeks with pneumonia, and he's been in a nursing home for another 2 weeks and counting. New Year's Day marked his 86th birthday, but his Alzheimers prevents him from really understanding what's been going on.

For 2008, I'm looking to leave my current job and find something that I both really enjoy and pays well (Good luck Cin). We'd like to have our 3-season room finished and make it into a dining room. Hopefully by the end of the year we'll start TTC as we both have baby fever pretty bad!!

Well, after our December 3rd Wedding, We are still doing Consturction on our house! We are replacing all the Windows and Insulation and also the Sheetrock. and in addition to that, we are moving our Kitchen to our Living Room and our Living room to our Dinning Room and our Dinning room to our Kitchen. Its like all three of the rooms are taking one quarter turn.

The only room that isn't changing is our Den. Whew!

Once, we finish the rooms....We move to the Bathrooms. Yikes!

It will be almost a brand new house.

Can't wait to have our house finished!

We went on a cruise for our 1st Anniversary to the Mexican Ri vera. We had a ball! It was a well deserved vacation from all the construction we have been doing.
