Did you girls have a contract with your florist?
My florist said to just send the deposit & I'm not sure if its customary to have a contract. Thanks!

we have a lose contract, it is not very specific as to the type of flowers but how many and such.

I just booked BURTONS officially yesterday and I gave them the deposit & they gave me a contract--not overly specific-just times & places & the total cost & # of things needed---all subject to change since I have a long time, but I just wanted to book them because I know they book up fast! They told me the same thing, that I could just leave a deposit and do it all by mail but I wanted to go there and have it in hand--just me being anal once again! LOL

I gotr a contract stating what they are throughing, the coata of the flowers and specifics n what flowers they are using.

I had to send a deposit first for them to write up the contract, I could have brought it in person and received the contract there, but right now putting it in the mail was easier, it is not going to be a specific contract until I pick the exact flowers and arrangements I want.

more like an invoice, but it lists out everything and the prices for them, and the dates, etc.

I'm using Flower Michele and I have a contract. It does list specific flowers and dollar amount, but I have discussed some alternatives with John and can change (delete or add flowers) and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

We made sure we had a detailed contract for everything. That just doesnt sound right, you better make sure they draw one up for you. They can pull some major BS somewhere down the line.

My florist contract was pretty detailed-we made lots of changes along the way but every detail was written on it. I wouldn't feel comfortable any other way.
We hear about brides that get bouquets that don't look anything like what they asked for-I don't think you'd have any recourse without a contract.
