diet help...lowfat lunch and snack ideas anyone?

I am a creature of habit so I usually eat the same thing every day...

breakfast-low fat yogurt and a piece of fruit or some oatmeal
snack- granola bar or cheese stick
lunch- eggwhite omelet with 1 piece of cheese and salsa or a salad or peanut butter on 15 grain bread and a banana.
snack- a piece of fruit and some nuts
dinner- varies ( try not to eat anything after 7pm)

BLAH.

I am finding that it is not satisfying my hunger as much because I am bored of it ( totally mind over matter, I know)

any ideas would be much appreciated!!!!

Re: diet help...lowfat lunch and snack ideas anyone?

I am your girl!! I love nutrition :)

Breakfast ideas:
Whole grain mini bagels with low fat cream cheese and a piece of fruit

Oatmeal with walnuts and raisins and brown sugar

Whole wheat english muffins with peanut butter and banana or other fruit

Smoothie of low fat plain yogurt, frozen fruit and milk

Any kind of whole grain cereal - oat squares, kashi heart healthy, grape nuts, with low fat milk and fruit

And in winter you can microwave grape nuts with a bit of honey - they are really yummy!

Lunch:
Whole wheat pita with hummus and sliced veggies stuffed into it

Lentil soup (Trader Joe's makes a good one) with whole grain crackers and some low fat cottage cheese or string cheese

Tuna and chickpea salad (look on foodtv.com) on crackers with cottage cheese and fruit

Snacks: Cottage cheese and peaches, apple sauce, granola bars, trail mix (watch the portion size though), cashews, almonds or walnuts (again watch portions), any fruit, fresh veggies and spinach dip (cooking light has a great recipe), veggies and hummus, hummus on whole wheat pita, turkey and alpine lace roll up, popcorn...I'll try and think of other ideas, too!! HTH

Re: diet help...lowfat lunch and snack ideas anyone?

Sorry for crashing...

I am following a high protein diet now, but I did weight wachers for a while and have lots of ideas from that...

Do you eat lean ground turkey? I make turkey tacos or meatballs all the time for dinners and then i can put them in a salad or bring a vegetable with them for lunch the next day.

I also love to eat turkey wraps. Or even turkey bacon. They also make fat free hot dogs too. Veggie burgers are great and are very filling. I love to cut them up and put them in whole wheat cous cous and veggies...

hope this helps! FM me if you have any questions...I really try to keep my diet nteresting so that I stay on it!

I can suggest that you add veggies to snack on rather than a granola bar or a cheese stick--they fill me up and you can have a lot without having to worry
Watch yourself on the peanut butter---while it is a good fat, it is still fat and if you go over the serving size, it really adds up.
I also really like the 40 calorie low carbbread--I think it is by arnold--not quite sure though--but it is yummy
