Re: Diet time!! post here for support

A Diet Thread, Yeeeyyyyyy! Great idea! I officially start tomorrow, that is actually in ten minutes! Although I am not getting married until 04, I have my best friend's wedding in May, for which I am the MOH and I want to wear a sexy dress for my E-party in June! Also, I will start dress shopping in June and I don't want to have to say, "imagine how this one will look when I am _____ pounds thinner."
Best wishes to all my fellow dieters!

9 months to go and a million pounds to lose. Great idea!! Fiance and I started today. Did pretty good I have to admit. I just have to remind myself to drink more water.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

No, I need to lose weight, too!! I posted a few weeks back that my dress doesn't even fit me and I have my first fitting Jan. 18th. So it's really crunch time for me.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I would to lose about 15 ibs.... Right now i am a short 5'2'' and weigh about 125. I would love to be about 110 for the wedding. I have from now until June to lose it (first fitting), so I that amounts to less than a pound a week. That is pretty healthy.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I have four months to go so I need to drop 15 pounds. Starting today I'm doing Somersizing. It's that diet by Suzanne Somers. I'm not allowed to eat pasta, white bread , corn, carrots, popcorn, sugar (that's a hard one), potatoes, and a few other things. I also can't eat carbs with proteins/fats. I'm also going to hit the gym at least five times a week. Wish me luck.

I here pilates really works the abs. I'm going to get a video and try it at home.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Here is what I was told.... for getting the dress itself, you don't need to be your wedding weight.... but by the time the dress comes in and you are going for first fittting, you don't want to lose too much after they start with the fittings... I am going to hold off on the fittings as long as possible....

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I have lost 10 lbs since November. I'm doing a little experiment. I've done WW forever (since before it was points & it was exchanges). Now I'm doing the low carb high protein diet that a lot of the New York Knot members are doing- so far, so good.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I did one week of buff brides, but have only done the cardio over the past 2 weeks. I'll continue with cardio until saturday and then start lifting again.

Edited to say that I am having issues with how much time exercise requires!!! I need to find an extra 5 hours in my schedule!!!
