My menu of the week
Here is my Hayleyandsteve inspired menu of the week- which i must say is a great way to plan out your meals!
I find if take about hour to look up some recipes and think about what we want to eat in advance, i save time at the grocery store and i can start cooking as soon as i get home as opposed to thinking about what we are going to eat. great idea Hayley! thanks!
Monday Sloppy joes on toasted english muffins- used 90% lean ground meat came out so yummy!
i seasoned the meat with a little cummin, a little taco seasoning, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, minced onion, minced peppers, a little chili powder.
then i made a sloppy joe sauce with ketchup, a little mustard and a little water to thin it out. came out great!
Tuesday Salmon with mustard dill sauce i was going to follow a recipe till i came across a dijon mustard that had dill in it- so i think i'll just slap that on and broil it
Wednesday Chicken tortilla soup ( made with my slow cooker)
Thursday Chicken kabobs
Friday Peppersteak with rice
Saturday - we wont be home Sunday -we wont be home
anyone else have any ideas?

Re: My menu of the week
This is such a great idea! I planned out my meals for the week this week because DH is away for work so I needed some ideas of things that I could make easy single-portions of (I dunno why but I never want to eat leftovers ). Here's what I came up with:
Sunday: Butternut squash soup and a grilled cheese (Ok, so sunday was the day I went shopping for all the other stuff so I was feeling lazy ) Monday: Hot dogs (Hebrew National 97% ff) with sauerkraut, green salad, homemade sweet potato fries Tuesday: Veggies (broccoli, squash, peppers, onions, artichokes) sauteed with garlic and oil, whole wheat couscous Wednesday: Baked salmon, green salad, baked butternut squash Thursday: Black beans and rice Friday: Some kind of pasta with chicken in it Saturday: DH gets home - hopefully we'll go for sushi
