NWR: How much is.....

an electric bill for a one bedroom apartment. FH and I are finally looking into places to rent for now. We are looking at apts in homes and most do include all the utitlies, but some of the space is limited and I would prefer a community. Obviously in a community we have to pay all our utilities.....does anyone have an idea how much electric would run monthly? This is the one thing that FH is freaking out....

Re: NWR: How much is.....

Our heat is included so in the winter it was about $30....in the summer w/ 2 air conditioners it was, at most, $80....much better than we thought it would be!

Less than a cable bill for us!

Re: NWR: How much is.....

I live in a one bedroom and i just checked the electric bill and its about $140...but thats for 2 months lol Not sure if that seems low or high to others but thats usually around the price it is...
and we leave the lights on and tv on all the time and i always have something plugged in somewhere..doesnt seem too bad to me

I spoke to FH and he said its usually around $70 a month, esp in the summer cause of the AC..winter shouldnt be as hight

wow....I didn't realize it would be that low......FH was happy to just read that. I thought it would be close to $150 or so a month.

Re: NWR: How much is.....

I don't know if my comment will be relevant since FH and I currently live out of state, but in our pretty large 2 bedroom apartment (with a dishwasher and washer/dryer which I'm sure add to the energy costs) we pay about $140 a month in the summers and about $60 a month in the winters.
