White or Ivory Wedding Dress
As a first time bride, is it appropriate to wear an antique ivory color? It really goes better with my skin tone than a true white. What do you think?

Congrats! ! ! Yes anything goes. You can wear what you want. I originally wanted ivory, but my dress only came in white/diamond white, so I chose diamond white.

It's completely fine, lots of brides here have an ivory dress. Mine is silk white so its not really white, and its my first time! If its flattering on you definitely go for it!

I'm wearing Ivory!!! I dont see anything wrong with it. My dress looks gorgeous in Ivory, DIamond white was like WHITE. Almost like hard to look at, IMO. But thats on me, most brides i've seen wore white and its beautiful. i think for my taste and my color ivory was the way to go

Sure-Ivory is very common now-a-days. A lot of brides (incl myself) choose it b/c it goes better with their complexion.

I chose ivory over white for the very same reason. I think you should go with what looks best. Both shades are completely appropriate.

Get what looks best on you.. afterall you dont want to look back at pictures and be like what was i thinking???? Get what looks best on you, and forget about the traditions... Ivory dresses look very nice

Absolutely. I originally wanted white but then I tried on my dress in antique white and it looked so much better with my skin tone. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

my dress came in both white and ivory. I tried it on in ivory, but i liked the way the white dresses looked on me better..... so white it is!!
It all depends on what you feel looks better on you.

that's not true. there are a few brides on here who have been married before.
i don't think it should affect the color dress you wear though, whatever you like best is what you should get, whether it's white, ivory, or even red!
