Supposedly he's in talks w/ Chicago to go there next year for an OBSCENE amt of $$$. Whatever, if it gets him away from the Yankees, so they can start winning their way again, I say good riddance! I'm just glad his resume will have 2 MVPs w/ the Yanks.
I'm with you, good riddance! seriously doesn't he want 38 million next year?? for like 8 years, something like this, I really can't tune in to anything about him, because he is not a YANKEE, give me clemens any day of the friggen week

problem is MOST teams can't afford him so theres been alot of talk about teams he might go to but its not even possible with alot of the teams

the A-rod hype gets annoying but he is a big part of the team. I would think he would want to stay but you know money talks...........if he wants to take it more power to him byt i would like to see him stay!

FH likes A-rod and always wonders why I hate him so much. We were at the game where he hit HR #500, and that was the only time I cheered for him - a great achievement steroid free deserves an ovation. When we go to games, I always boo him. He went to a suck a$$ team for the $$, not the potential of the team, and for that, I will never have respect for him. Only when he realized Texas was truly bad did he want to come to the yanks. Yeah, I hate A-rod, had to vent. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

lets be honest now, the man is human and who wouldn't take that money. i mean its easy for us to talk when its not a possibility but to throw that money in someones face its hard to turn down.

I think if I were a baseball player, and it was a decision between 20mm or 30mm a year, and I know w/ the 20mm a year team I'd have a WS ring, but w/ the 30mm a year team we'd have a barely 500 team, I'd go for the 20mm and the ring. That's what you play baseball for, the WS ring. He could easily be the WS MVP, win all kinds of awards, and achieve further records. He has enough $$, him and his family will never starve. An extra 10mm is more than I'll ever see, but he already has it and doesn't need it. What he doesn't have is a WS ring, and unless he wins it this year, he may never have it if he chooses to leave.

That is true, I'm not by any means saying he's a bad player, thats why I said he defiantly will get MVP and actually deserves it. And if I could have his money then hell yeah I'd take it lol!
However, I think players are getting more and more greedy every year, and they have taken this game for granted, and its all about the money for them now, its not about the love of the game, and thats so sad.

wether we win or lose i am still there all the way!! and its hard in my house...i have 2 brothers who are DIE HARD METS FANS lol then there is me...the little rebel of the house lmao
I tell my broither every year....the mets start off good.......THEN THEY CHOKE as u can see the last few days as well as last year.......
the yanks start off slow and the pick it up at the end. Yeah we arent gonna win all the time...but it would be nice, we have to give other teams a chance too lol

I liked A-rod til he came to the yankees. It's his principals I question, not his ability as a player. He came here only because the Yanks could afford him and he wanted a ring. If the Yanks didn't have the bankroll they do, he'd be someplace else. That's why I don't like him. As a player, he's great, and no one could ever say otherwise.

FH is a Mets fan, I'm a Yankees fan, and we have a lot of fun with it. I root for the Mets as long as it's not against the Yankees, and he does the same. My bro is a Mets fan too. Makes things fun. I can't belive how badly the Mets have been playing these past couple of weeks. They do choke, it's almost like they can't handle success. Whereas the Yankees thrive at the end of the season cause they can't stop in Sept, they must continue til Oct!!

its true although i truly believe for many it is about the game...but when you go pro, unfortunately JUST the love of the game isnt the only factor, so much come into play and its a whole other ballpark now. Its the politics of it, the WS ring, about records and yes money too.
