My post-wedding DIY
Ok so I attempted my own DIY shadowbox frame as inspired by the beachy one created by HamptonsBride. It was a ROYAL PAIN IN THE BUTT! OMG!! LOL. I would suggest any bride who wants to do this to use small sturdy items with no give like the seashells and sand in hers. I tried moss and the silk dasies I used for the girl's weddung day barrettes and though I think it looks pretty good, it was WAY too much work to make everything lay approximately the way I envisisoned it. Moss/grass wouldn't lay flat, the flower petals wouldn't curve or move the way I wanted them because once the back was on, it got squished.....
OYE!!!!!!
Its not perfect but after 1 1/2 hours of fighting with diff colored mats, ornery flowers and stubborn faux grass moss, I accept dh's addage that "nothing is ever perfect." He thinks it looks good so here it is.
UPDATE:
FYI because someone FMed me about it, yes I did Photoshop the picture so only my bo-k, dh's bout and our shoes are colored. I thought it helped the flowers to pop more, like the flowers jumped off my bo-k.

Thanks Ryan! LMAO Gues what? I realized I glued the picture mat to the back of the box UPSIDE DOWN so now cannot hang it....just put it ona shelf  LOL Oh well. TY! I got a woop woop from queen of DIY. Go me

You could buy a hanging kit at Michael's & put it on the back of the frame if you really want to hang it......all of my shadowboxes are on shelves too...oh & i have put the backs on upside down too!! hahah so don't feel bad!

That would be excellent-I was inspired by Kath's and I am thinking of making one to hang for the bathroom because I have seen them with shells and things but none of them pop out at me. I should post a pic of the shower curtain and get ideas from the ladies. Its in shades of blue/turquoise, green and brown -big circles.
