Okay D - here are the questions you had written..
Vendors & kids - what is the amount charged? Some people are saying half - my contract has 1/3 stamped on it (only after you hit your minimum).
How heavy can the cake topper be?
What size is too big for CP?
awesome...thanks for reminding me!!! i am losing my mind lately...so much to do!!
i also added to my list....
is 12 people at a round table too tight?? we are in the briar fox which holds 180.. i hope i get some no's.. or else that will suck!!!)
FH's friends got married at Fox Hollow and said they had a few tables- round ones though- with 12 people and it was fine. I dunno about the longer tables though.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
We are in the Lantern gallery for CH and WGP for reception.
I thought we were in briar fox for CH because that is what Arthurt told us, but in reviewing my contract recently, I see that isn't the case.
Its not a big deal, except I feel like Arthur promised us a lot of stuff that we aren't going to get now. I did catch some of it the day of and he handwrote it on my copy and his - I hope they don't give me a hassle in honoring that.
I'm sure it will work out, but I am a little not happy about the arthur thing. Also because I feel like I can't call them and get straight answers on some stuff.
I'm sure it will be great on the wedding day, just needed to vent a little.

Fox Hollow should thank this board!!!! She is answering so much for all of us.
I felt like I was in a daze when i booked with them - it was a few weeks after being engaged and we loved it and just did it. Wasn't thinking of all these details back then!

Thanks so much!
I wish they had something more simple, like with just their logo on it.
Ullwell - I think I will add another DIY to my list to make some with snowflakes to match my theme.

Haha, here’s where my weirdness comes out!
I actually like the fox hunting a lot because I’m a bit of a medievalist…in tons of medieval literature, you would have the fox hunt as a kind of parable of courtship. It’s not the romantic ideal that we may have today, but that’s the way it was back then. My favorite story with this is by far Gawain and the Green Knight. The lord of the castle that Gawain is staying in goes out hunting everyday while his wife is pursuing Gawain…the two men have an agreement that they swap whatever they had gained during the day at the end of the day so Gawain gets a fox and the lord gets two kisses his wife gave Gawain. It’s a much more involved story than that, but that’s just what it reminded me of.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
ok girls im here!!! im glad i didnt scan it, because its posted, so thank you!! they are kinda ugly but im using them anyway. well let me tell you... it is so overwhelming because there is so much to ask and having jen tell you the details , it just gets you all confused..lol -- the vendors are 1/3 off -- the cake choices are crazy!!! and you have a choice of 8 style cakes.. they were really beautiful!! and so sorry jess, i forgot to ask about the credit.. you are gonna kill me!!!!! the cake took forever for me to pick out, i was freakin out.. and thats why i got so overwhelmed.. -- the round tables were set up for 12... and its very comfortable for 12 people!! -- you have to drop your stuff off the week of the wedding. (cp, candles, anything like that) --- you get all these papers you have to fill out and give back -- menus's they provide, which arent bad at all. and no , they do not have the bride and grooms name on them.. i asked her -- tipping ... only maitre'd and bridal attendant
ok , im sure there is more, so i will think of it and post it.. i was so tired yesterday i didnt even come on last night.. i hope this answers some of the questions..
jessica.. im really sorry about the cake question. i did take jen's card that has her email on it, its at home so i can give it to you later... but she said that she does reply to emails much faster!!!
ok girls,..love ya lots!!! HTH

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
BTW ladies, I have a tip for the papers that you need to fill out and return to them. One of them is the guest list in alpha order and the other is a listing of tables with each guest's name. Becuase I didn't want to keep writing my guests' names in, I printed it off my computer on the back of those sheets. Just format your file to print on the legal sized paper.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Girls just a heads up that they dont tell you about till the final week you also have to tip the Captain. This was never mentioned to me at any appointment till the last one. I have spoken to other past Fox Hollow brides who also find out about this at the final appt. They give you 3 envelopes BA, MD, and Captain. They tell you to tip the MD $3-$7 per person and the other 2 are up to the bride. The captain I did not see much. So he got $100. The BA did so much I did give her $300 but ended up giving her extra $200 at the end of the night she was beyond amazing and did not much for us.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Also along those lines for the papers you have to fill out. The program I used for my guests prints it out in ABC order. All I did was print this and gave it in. This was good for them. The said it is easier to read when it comes from the computer. Dont fill in any of the paperwork till last minute because there will be changes up to you last appt. They only give you 1 copy of each.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I can't possibly explain how much I appreciate this info & all the tips!!!
What type of paperwork do they give you???
If you are NOT using their placecards, do you still have to provide a guest list?
D - don't worry about the cake thing...i can find that out for myself!!! I'd have to think my meeting is soon - if yours for December was last night - then mine for January should be soon!!!
How long was your meeting D? Was it like 3 hours?? This won't be easy for us - because Dave works INSANE hours & we live in Jersey - so we'd have to leave time for travel...

oh wow,, yea yours should be coming up.. you will get the letter in the mail soon!! well jen was really nice, even though its hard to reach her over the phone, i really like her!!! um, the meeting was a half hour for us because we already had our menu choices. the cake took us a while.. but they will bring you to the rooms again to look at!! i am not sure about the placecard thing because im using theirs.. i really dont want to.. but i cant bring myself to spend extra money. umm and oh yea they also said.... for the children , they have pasta, chicken fingers and fries... or they can eat what the adults are eating. --and you pick your linens the week of the wedding, not at the meeting.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I have asked my crafty friends if they can think of something simple & cute to do for the placecards...and i'll help them... I WISH i was a DIY Diva - but i'm so not!
We stopped by there not long ago and saw the linen choices - we already know what we want & we had to tell our florist our choice...
Did they throw you any extras?? I really want the cotton candy and popcorn thing - but 2 bucks a head is just too much to me!
