No, tasting, but I was told that if I went to the restaurant and told them I was getting married there they'd throw in an appetizer and/or dessert?

I am totally going next Saturday though with FH and some good friends as a thank you for a beautiful engagement gift... I will let you know.

so i went there today and fell in love. However, i don't feel there "throwing anything in for me". Chair covers and an ice sculpture. Now I don't want to get you girls in trouble or anything with each other , but can you FM me the :throw ins" you guys got?

i just feel other places were doing much much more. thanks :D

Atleast you're getting that. We're not even getting those. I told Ron that if they didn't get the new chairs in the Garden Terrace by the time of my wedding that I wanted the chair covers and he said "no problem". I'm sure it will be a problem now.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

i'm going to say this and i know it's not going to be taken well - but i just want to say it anyway (i'm totally pms'ing - i am sorry in advance).

chairs are just that - CHAIRS. They are sat on and that's it. Men will put their suit jackets on the back & everyone will SIT ON THEM. They are not going to ruin the room by looking badly, etc...

i personally HATE chair covers, every event i've ever been to with them - they bother me and i step on them...and they cause more trouble than they are worth.

again - i'm sorry...and this is coming from someone who had like 15 no-shows - so there were LOTS of empty chairs at the wedding...it didn't matter. NO ONE will walk out of a RH going, ew, those chairs were ugly...

sorry, sorry, sorry if this offended anyone.

i couldn't agree with you more which is why i say big whoop to throwing chair covers in. Give me something ELSE!!

some people are REALLY into the decor though. While the chairs don't bother me nor the linens and such, the rugs bother me. haha

at least you are honest. I understand both points. They are JUST Chairs. Most people dont even notice them. But, when I was looking for a place, the first things I looked at were the chairs, floor, and ceiling. LOL. I know- non of those thigns other people would notice. And people said ohhh you can just get chair covers. But I personally am not a fan of chair covers, and I didn't want ugly chairs either. So chairs actually were important to me. And I know it is ridiculous. But I couldnt help it! hehe.

I totally understand where your coming from. There are all sorts of things that are priorities for brides and things that are not. Chair covers was something I definitely needed.

Don't worry I won't throw rocks at you b/c you don't like them!

I made such a big deal about the chairs when we were looking and I HATED the chairs in the Garden Terrace room (some were stained!) so I got chair covers and sashes. Honestly, day of, I barely noticed them and neither did anyone else probably!!

For ladies that didn't use the Fox Hollow menus and either printed your own or had them printed, when the Fox Hollow sent you the menu file did it only contain the entree selections or did it contain your appetizer, entree and dessert selections? I just got the file and it only contained the entree selections and I am wondering if I have to fill in the other stuff on my own. Thanks!

Haha... you know what's funny about this? I didn't book Crest Hollow Country Club because I HATED the carpets and the chairs (without covers). Seriously, I would have been a Crest Hollow bride, but I thought the carpets were so ugly they distracted me.

I know they are just chairs, but I want a certain look to the room, and "naked" chairs don't do it for me... the covered chairs fit more with the look I'm going for.

exactly why i cut my meeting at the Crest Hollow short yesterday LOL. i do apologize to anyone who likes/liked the CH but I absolutely hate the decor there (b/c of the rugs). i honestly don't remember it looking like that 4 years ago (bro got married there)

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I forgot to hit quote but this is in reply to ttdiff11's question about the briar fox room.

My reception is in the briar fox. I'm inviting 175ish, I was told min of 130 and max 180. I'm hoping for 150 though.

Your right, not tasting, but i did get a coupon in with the first payment reminder for free wine with dinner and my parents got appetizers when they put the deposit down for me (Darn it, why do I have to be living out of state)

entrees only on mine. my theory as to why is because this is the only OPTION. You don't pick the desert, you don't pick the appetizer....

so instead of having to have the poor waiters give all the options to all 100 guests, the menu is there...
