Hotels rooms for guests - Holiday Inn at Plainview – A

Out of towners stayed there Friday night into Sunday. Rooms were decent. They were clean and tidy and all the blocked rooms were together which was great. The front desk was very helpful as well to a few guests. Our bridal Suite was amazing for Saturday night. It was really big and away from all the noise. Loved the Jacuzzi it really relaxed us afterwards.

Ceremony/Reception: Holiday Inn at Plainview – A++++++++++++

I have to say it was a great place to have a wedding. Diane was excellent along with Suzy my attendant. They made sure we had everything and that everything was moving along smoothly. The ballroom was done beautifully from the ceremony to the reception. They incorporated everything we bought in for our tables and made it look fabulous. The wait staff was excellent and everybody raved about the cocktail hour and the entrees. The cocktail hour we spent in the Bridal Suite and Suzy gave us alittle of everything to try and was very attentive. We had little things that were forgotten but I did not mind because everything was going our way.

All I have to say is wow. We had Judy and boy was she fantastic. I happen to be running fashionably late by a half hour and she took the guys and started their pics. When I got down there she took all the shots in different locations on the hotel grounds. She was happy to take pics of us and anybody we asked to take one with. We were quite nervous since it was before the ceremony and she made us feel comfortable by joking with us and helped ease our nerves. She was right on us if something happened unexpectingly or if she thought of something she sprung it on us. She was fabulous and I can’t wait to get the proofs. I would highly recommend Judy and Velvet Studios.

Rehearsal Dinner (what MIL called it) - Monroe’s (Holiday Inn at Plainview) - C

The reason I give it a C was because we were not put in a quiet separate room and we were sitting right next to the dance floor on singles night. We saw things that were a little inappropriate and the music was a little raunchy. I was quite disgusted but this was my MIL’s idea so I couldn’t say anything.

DJ – Top Hat A++++++++++

The DJ was excellent. I didn’t catch his name but he played everything I asked for and even took a request from my cousin to do something embarrassing to me. He got everyone up and dancing right till the end. A lot of the guests really loved the mixture of music he played as for it was for all ages.

Flowers - Jay Becker A++++++++++

All the flowers came out excellent. My bouquet was so beautiful and the colors really accented my dress. The arch for the ceremony was very beautiful also along with the corsages and the guys flower things. They were all fresh.


This is alittle of what I had. I will try and post pics when I get back. I will have a lot more to add to reviews. I am off to Southern Cali for our honeymoon.

congrats!!! im using the Holiday Inn for my hotel and im staying in the same room. glad to see you liked it. Marly should read this...she's getting married there. cant wait to see pics.
