How did you know

that your dress was "The Dress", I can't even begin to explain how many dresses I looked at today and absolutely nothing appealed to me.. I got so frustrated I finally gave up & came home.

I feel like you just know. You put it on and don't want to take it off. Or you put it on and then end up trying on 10 more but can't stop thinking about the first one (no matter how much you like all the rest). Keep looking until you find that one. It will come along.

And keep in mind-you should try to be open minded. I'm usually so plain and boring....But I made myself be open to trying on dresses that I would normally never look at. When the woman brought out "my dress", I thought it was the ugliest thing ever but I didn't want to be mean and put it on... And it was "the dress". Good luck! HTH

i knew when it was "the dress" when i tried it on and saw myself walking down the aisle. it just made me look like a bride. and i didn't have to compromise my idea of a dream dress. you'll realize as you continue shopping that your idea of a dream dress may not be the one that looks best on you. like the above poster said, be openminded about what you try on. you'll never know what you'll find.

It sounds crazy, but you just know. When you find the right one, your face will light up and whoever is with you will tell you that you found your dress. I tried the dress I bought was the second one I tried on. I loved it right away. But finding a wedding dress is supposed to be a bit of a process, right? Anyway, I tried on several dresses after I found the "one" and kept going back to that dress. I didn't buy it that first day because I wanted to look a bit more. Nothing else compared to how I felt in that dress so I went back tried it on again and bought it. You will know. Good luck.

see i didnt find dress shopping to bring me to tears or hysterics, though i was giddy and near skipping through the parking lot.

Also, i knew i was getting my dress when i realized 1. i liked the way it looked on the dress form2. i liked how it made ME look 3. it seemed very much something i would wear (which was important to me, to not sacrafice my own style just for the sake of wearing a white dress)

if you werent even slightly excited then you probably didnt find the right one, or even the right style.... not yet anyway!

For me it was a matter of fate...i literally tried on about 100 dresses...many i liked & liked how i looked in them but didn't get the WOW factor... i found my dress on a day i wasn't even supposed to be shopping (an event i had got cancelled), my Mom came shopping for the first time...and after trying the sample on...and LOVING it...they told me they had a brand new one, in stock.never worn for half price...the fact that it was my size & fit (even though i am short) just confirmed it was meant to be...but i really did love it when i tried the sample on...it was gorgeous & i didn't want to take it off.

Give yourself time...i know it gets frustrating...but do not settle..you can see a bunch i tried on in my Wedding Dresses & Accessories album...Good Luck!!!

Thank you all so much for your input, I did some more looking today ad think I might be closer to finding it so I'm off to stores again when I pick up my e-ring from the jewelers on monday

Its kind of hard to explain-I didnt cry or anything like that-I just loved it on and everything I put on after that made me say i "I like that one more"

It was the first dress I tried on, and i dunno, YOU JUST KNOW!

When I put it on, I didn't want to take it off!
I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted going in, and I didn't want to take too long to pick out a dress because I knew then I'd become too overwhelmed with choosing, so I tried on a few and when I got to this one, I loved how it felt on me and everyone told me it was very "me" so I figured, this is it!

You just know...you feel great in it, look great in it, and you get a feeling...don't settle because you are getting frustrated...just keep trying them on....try dresses on that you think won't look good on you, sometimes the dresses we think we hate turn out to be THE ONE!

When you put it on you get this feeling. I can't really explained it but you just know that it's the one. You also stay in the dress a little longer than the others one that you might have tried on.
