NWR: Why don't people cash checks?
I went to a wedding a month and a half ago, and the couple still hasn't cashed my check. I know they have it b/c she mentioned it to me 3-4 weeks ago and followed up with "I know, people probably want to kill me." Seriously! It's screwing up my checkbook! I've had the $ all along but just did some online banking and don't. So, I now I need to ask her to please cash it, but not until friday when I get paid.

That drives me INSANE!!! I feel your pain, I went to a wedding in June and it took her 5 weeks to cash my check. And she only went away for 7 days on her honeymoon and I made it out to her husband only, so it's not even like she had to wait for her name change or anything. It's very frustrating.

lol i think we'll be at the bank the next day hahaha....just to get it out of the way before the HM and like you said, you dont want people to be annoyed that you took so long - i HATE that!

We are going to have to wait until we get back from the HM because we are heading to the airport directly from the reception ...unless we find time to hit the bank on the way to the airport.
I can't imagine waiting any longer than you have to!

They don't have to wait for a name change no matter what. They'll take it however it's made out.
This drives me nutty! Almost as nutty as the person who bounced a check to us at our wedding and never said a word to us about it. 
My cousin held a check we made out to her son for his communion for over a month. 
Now I know why so many people just give cash!

yeah opened up our account at commerce, specifically because they are opened on Sundays....i dont know is it me, but the last few weeks til ur wedding we have been spending money like crazy......cant wait til we get those checks....hahaha
