"Display" Bridal Shower
I just got an invitation for the bridal shower of my cousin's FW in Philadelphia. It's called a "Display Bridal Shower" and the only info was the date and place. There was no card saying where she is registered. What the heck is this??? Have any of you heard of this before??? My mom and I are totally clueless. Thanks!

Re: "Display" Bridal Shower
I think that it means that you wrap the girt in clear plastic. this way the gift is on display and the future bride doesn't have to go through all the gift opening. I believe it is dont when it is a really large party and no time to open everything or when the person doesn't want to be the thing on display.

Yes.. that is what it is. You either don't wrap the gift of wrap it in clear celophane. That way everyone sees the gift on display which cuts down the time it takes to open everything. Alot of people get bored watching the bride open everything... I actually think it is fun!!!!

Re: "Display" Bridal Shower
My mom was going to suggest that for my shower but chickened out. I personally love the idea. I'd rather spend time mingling and chatting with guests that sitting in a chair unwrapping for hours. But my mom got a lot of funny looks when she mentioned to to people, so she didn't go through w/it.
