OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

6 weeks before the wedding?!?!?!? I have lost my desire to do anything for the wedding especially work out. My house is a mess and I have no desire to clean. I went for a dress fitting and it is too tight in the bust, all my fat just hangs over the top, I look horrible. All I wanna do is cry, when I should be going to the gym. that I haven't done in months What the hell is wrong with me?!?!?! I feel so discombobulated (sp?) Maybe I am just PMSing, I don't know, all I know is the last couple of days all I want to do is sleep. Sorry, just needed to vent!

Re: OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

Oh Ryan don't WORRY!!!! This is just temporary!!! Between all your DIY'ing, PMS, and this LOUSY LOUSY weather I think a few of us feel the same way!! Indulge!!! take a night or two off of wedding stuff, watch a movie, take a bubble bath, have a glass of wine, and enjoy it!!!
I don't know about you but ALL my clothes look "BLECH" when I'm PMSing, nothing fits RIGHT, I bet your dress will be perfect in a few days!!
You will get your house in order and you'll be back to your happy glue-gunning self in no time, I promise!!! HANG IN THERE!!!

Re: OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

Awww, Ryan, I'm sorry you feel lousy today!! You've been working yourself crazy with those beautiful DIYs, not to mention having to take care of your daughter and live your normal life!! It's totally normal to feel overwhelmed but you're going to be OK. You're going to have a beautiful wedding and look amazing in your dress - I'm sure no one but you can see any "imperfections" in how it fits! Take it easy the next few days, try to sleep as much as you can, and try to take vitamins and drink lots of water so you don't get run down. Exercise by going for walks with FH and DD, and doing things you enjoy. You'll get through this!!

Ryan don't worry about it, it is perfectly normal to feel the way that you feel. Between the weather, PMS and all of the DIY's that you have been doing, you are just running yourself ragged. My advice is pour yourself a nice glass of wine and sit back and relax tonight.

Re: OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

I seriously think that the weather is adding to you feeling down! I felt that way last week, but this week I feel like I'm on a mission lol....so I guess it's a fleeting feeling (or I hope!) it's totally natural to feel so overwhelmed when your date is so close, b/c you don't know what to tackle first. take a breather, realize all that you have already accomplished, and in a few days I'm sure you'll get back some of your momentum, just don't be too hard on yourself if a day goes by where you don't do anything "wedding related"

Re: OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

hey date twin! I felt that way about 2 wks ago. I was so stressed. My MOH finally declared that the wedding will no longer be a zone of stress and worry. I actually went over to her house last week to do wedding stuff and we wound up just bs-ing and enjoying each other's company and we didn't even make ourselves feel guilty. Sometimes it's totally OK to just push stuff aside for a little while and NOT make yourself feel guilty for it. for you!!!

I think so. I feel that lately, I am completely unpredictable. Generally, I am happy, but there is NO telling when I'll fall into a crazy funk or rage!
Don't worry, and don't over-stress either!!

Re: OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

I'm with you! I've been stressing my self out!

I can't imagine what you must feel like with your DD and all the DIY's....

tonight I took time for myself and went for a massage (my first one!) It was so worth it and I don't feel bad that I didn't do anything wedding related (or house related)

Feel better!

I have felt that way for a few months., I lost all of ther excitement. All I have now is worry. All I can think is "Will it get done etc.?"

Re: OK so is it normal to have a nervous breakdown....

YES! MY MIL flew up to NY b/c I had lost my motivation and want to do anything wedding related...and then all of a sudden after she left I was excited instead of stressed.

Dont worry it will pass, its just because you have been putting so much into planning that it at this point has overwhelmed you

Thanks girls, you are the best and alwats have the best advice, I went to bed last night and even dragged DD into bed with me for some hugs! I think maybe I just needed a good cry, I really think it was a mix of PMS plus weather, I feel a bit better this morning, looking forward to tonight!!!! Thanks again ladies
