photo/thank you card help

I was extremely unhappy with my photographer, and am now trying to find someone else to make me my thank you cards, thinking maybe the note-card sized ones with a black and white pic on the front - shamma on the board had one made even with colorization, it looks amazing. I am wondering if photographers make these up if they didn't do the actual wedding - I will have my negatives at the end. Or if anyone has any input on how I can do this myself, thanks!

Sorry that you didn't like your photographer, but if there is a picture of theirs that you like for a thank you (or anything else) then you need their permission to reproduce it. All photos by a professional photographer are copyrighted and it would be unethical for anyone else to use them for any reason without the photographer's (or studio's) express permission.

I'm sure that even though you didn't like them that they would be able to reproduce anything that you've seen elsewhere. AND if you let them know that you weren't happy they are likely to give you a large enough discount or bonus in an attempt to make you happy.
