You got the spelling! To answer your question, I'll probably wear a really full crinoline. Every time I mention a hoop skirt to my dress shop, they look at me as if I have two heads and say, "Why would you want to wear that? It's going to stick out when you sit down!" I don't know if that's really true, but I'll probably just wind up with the fullest crinoline they have for my full tulle ballgown.

is that true with the hoops? i didn't buy one yet and I also have a ballgown and want to know what's best.

I'll be doing a very full crinoline... When I think of the hoops I think of Scarlet in Gone With the Wind....

i did the very large petticoat...it was beautiful for the dress and comfortable..

I have a very large petticoat! At first I didn't want to look like a huge puffball, but the seamstress said that after a couple of hours with the dress on it will get flatter so without the crinoline I would lose the beautiful effect that the box pleats on my dress make. I said "sure...whats another $65 bucks at this point!!"

My dress has crinoline with a tulle bottom, so I will wear a semi full slip to complement it.

Mine I don't think is a hoop but it has many layers and they cut out one of the layers because it was too poofy. It felt like hard netting. Right now it is very crushed and it better be steamed and straightened in the next two weeks!!!!

I'm sorry to sound stupid here, but what exactly is crinoline?
Is it those full bridal slips?

If so, do they come in sheer or chiffon material? My dress is chiffon and straight (kind of a-line) but slim. I need a slip, but I don't want it to poof up my dress at all.

I bought a really full crinoline with my dress. I have a tulle bottom so it really makes it "poof"

I also bought a full crinoline slip to go underneath my tulle ballgown bottom. And for the low, low price of $90, I am wondering - do you think I can wear it OVER my wedding gown, so I feel like it was worth the money?? (hee hee)

I need to get a full crinoline for my ballgown dress. Hopefully the one I used when trying on the dress at the bridal salon sells it. It was perfect!

I'm wearing a full hoop and it's awesome. It makes my gown so poufy and princessy.

Keeps the crinoline off my legs, and makes the dress feel super light.
I got it off ebay for $38.

It doesn't pop up when I sit down at all, the weight of the dress pushes it down. I don't know why they say that at bridal shops.

Don't pay attention to the yucky bustle. I'm not having it done like that.
(I'm sure I'll be knocking things over when I walk, my dress is so huge, but I love the way it photographs)
