What would you do if you won the lottery? (Wedding and otherwise)

Powerball (not in NY) is up to 161 million this Saturday, and, FH and I plan on winning.

So, what would you do with 161 million?

Here are a few of my things:

Concerning the wedding:
I wouldn't change much.... anything I'd already ordered or paid for would stay. I'd definitely add a better menu, viennese, things like that. I'd obv. pay for BM dresses and tux's.... etc.

Otherwise:
BMW 745 biatches.
Caddy Escalade.... I don't care how ghetto FH thinks they are (he's so weird.)
Condo in Vegas
House on Long Island
House in Baltimore (where my family and his family is)
House on the Jersey Shore

Probably vacation in Europe for a month or so.

Set up college funds for my 2 cousins (I only have 2, FH has 1 billion, and, I don't care.)

Set my parents and brother up.

Set FH's parents and sibs. up.

Of course, donate some..... not sure where, definitely cancer research, among other things.

Hmmm....... lypo. everywhere.

I can't think of anything else......

So, what would YOU do?

build a home from scratch, buy a boat, 2 new cars, and vacationa everywhere!!!

Get a Shetland pony

Start a corgi farm—probably get some alpacas too just to be extra quirky

Buy out everyone else getting married at the Fox Hollow on my day (haha, j/k Ksquared!)

Get at least three dresses and change between them

Have David Bowie perform at the wedding

Never work again in my life and travel everywhere—maybe a yacht trip around the world

Oh and maybe invest in a time machine and go back and marry 25 yr old David Bowie? FH may not like that too much though.

Realistically and boring? Same as above minus the pony, alpacas, no buying out of the Fox Hollow, maybe just two dresses and not one and probably try to start my own publishing company so I can work for myself

Also, I'd never work again. FH said he's open a small practice, and only take on cases he was interested in, so, I'd probably help him with that..... (not that I can do much without a law degree.... )

I'd definitely get Pearl Jam to play at the wedding..... although I can't think of one song that is wedding appropriate.... "Better Man"

They are FH's fav. band of all time, it's the least I could do!!!

Pay for everything for the wedding, have the wedding in a private island somewhere and fly all my guests.

Buy a huge house in NY
Buy another home for my parents
Buy a new car
Get a summer home in the Caribbean
Buy a couple of buildings and rent out the properties
INVEST, INVEST, INVEST

Pay off any of me and Fh debts....By my parents a house in hilton head .....buy a house for me & FH....trusts for the kids and dontate the rest ...who the hell needs that much $$$$

OMG, I SWEAR I was thinking about this on the way to work this morning after I heard the commercial for the Mega millions (105 million here).

I agree with you that I wouldn't change much about the wedding, except I'd add a few things I'd love to have, but can't afford. I'd like to have VH, a cigar roller, a band AND a DJ.. I'd also take care of all my BP expenses, etc.

Now, as far as the rest o f the money:

I'd buy a HUGE house on Long Island. One of those unnecessarily big houses with more rooms than you know what to do with and a backyard that is fit for a rapper on cribs. I'd buy a car, maybe the lexus truck (I've loved it forever).

I'd set up my family for life: ma dukes, step-dad, brother, grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin (I also only have 1 cousin) I'd also hook-up FILs and SIL

I'd buy something (maybe a penthouse) in NYC, just for $hits and giggles and another place in Italy, maybe near Lake Como (George Clooney as my never can never be bad).

I'd donate a good portion of it to cancer research as well, a lot of my family has passed b/c of the disease.

Lake Como is glorious. When I went to Italy with SJC, a few of the people got stuck on a later flight, so, we had a few hours to kill when we got there, and we went to Lake Como.... it was amazing.

I'd def. pay off my debts and any little ones that FH might have. Then I'd buy myself a house, a new car and I would buy FH the car he wants. Then I'd give my family some of it too, I'd buy them a house b/c they dont have much and they never had a house of their own. I moved around from place to place my whole life, so it would be so great to give to them what they never had!!!

Since the lottery is completely out of reach, I"ll just have to work my *** off to have all these things lol

all modest homes no mansions - i dont need all that space LOL

oOo I like this game! hehe

First I'd plan a wedding in the carribean, in which I'd invite and pay for all of my friends and family :) Then we'd have our private cruise ship take us around a few more islands :)

Then I'd buy a beautiful home for myself and FH. Nothing huge, too much extra stuff to clean..

I'd def pay off my parents mortgage...and give mama dukes money to just blow on whatever she wants..

Set all my brothers up with houses

Book cruises for every year from now until I was 89..

Invest a lot of money so my kids and grandkids will be set for life..

And I'd give at least 50million to foundations. Probably about 40g to MS...unfortunatly my brother suffers from this.

payoff all our debt
Take care of my immediate family...
well maybe since my MOH/Sister is giving me a hard time

travel the world
build a house in my favorite cites (NY, Rome, South Beach, the hamptons, etc)
Hire my personal hair/make up stylist
Hire a personal trainer/nutrionist
of course give some to reputable charites or start my own

buy a home...pay the wedding in full with crazy stuff that i want that i cant afford haha

have a few cars...make sure my parents are set for life with a home in vegas and here in ny...

Wedding - I wouldn't change anything. I would pay for all my OOT guests to stay in the hotel and pay for their travel too. I would also pay for all the BMs dresses and GMs tuxes. We'd also stay in the best hotels on our HM and fly first class

Other than that, #1 quit my job so I can go back to school full time. Then I'd buy a house for me & FH, pay off my school debt, pay off FH's debt, pay my sister's school debt & the rest of her car, pay off my parent's new car and buy them a house, pay to have their bungalow on the Jersey Shore bulldozed and rebuilt (the place is falling apart). I'd give money to my family. I'd buy condo in Vermont to go skiing, buy a condo in St. Maarten. I don't think I'd want to buy a condo in Vegas because when we're there, we like to stay on the strip. I'd buy a condo in Italy near my family. I'd travel a lot to places I've never been like South Africa, Morocco, Japan, Thailand, Brazil, New Zealand... (this could be a long list)

Yeah I would pay off all my debt, buy a NICE HOUSE and few little toys but i would def give the rest to my family and some various charities

I would pay off whatever debts FH's parents and sisters have and I would set up a retirement account for FH's parents (we just found out they have next to nothing in their 401k )

I'd probably plunk some money into my grandfathers acct. He's on his own and I hate the thought of him having to worry about $$.

I would buy a house on LI, nothing crazy, but it would be in the heart of Babylon Villiage... I love it there.

I'd buy some toys... a car for FH and myself... again, nothing crazy. We're dying for a boat so that's something else we'd buy.

I'd probably donate some of it to a few different charities. Invest a chunk of it....

As for the wedding... I wouldn't change much. I'd pay for all my girls dresses and hair and makeup and all of the guys tuxes. We'd add a few extras like a VH. We'd also go on a sickass HM to Tahiti and Bora Bora and Morea... Ugh! The thought.

FH and I talk about it allllll the time. I'm going to have to pick up a few tix...

I would pay for all the BMs dresses, the GMs tuxes, and the moms and dads attire. I would also get more expensive gifts for the BMs, GMs, and parents.

Not wedding related -

I would buy a house on LI for FH and I
I would also pay off all of our families bills
I would buy FH and myself our dream cars
I would buy FH waverunners
I would donate to charities
I would travel all over the world
