Anyone read any good books lately?

I feel like such an old lady asking about this (LOL) but I read so many books on our HM and I feel like before I go back to work now is the time to read.

I just finished The Undomestic Godess by Sophie Kinsella (I tend to like the chic lit stuff!)

Any other dorks like me out there?

Umm I've read every shopalcoholic books lol!! You are not alone!

On the honeymoon....kind of funny but I read

Baby Proof by Emily Giffin

(I also read undomestic goddess on the honeymoon too)

On the other side:

ANY of the three Mitch Albom books are good

"Tuesdays with morrie"
"Five people you meet in heaven"
"for one more day"

I really liked the Kite Runner and the Memory Keeper's Daughter was good too. I haven't read the Secret Lives of Bees yet...for some reason everytime I pick it up I wind up not buying it, not sure what turns me off about it.

So after reading all these, do you think I'd like it ??

Re: Anyone read any good books lately?

hmm... it's different than the others -- but i enjoyed! i read it a few years ago though...

i like to read most of the ny times best sellers (paperback fiction) but i like the more serious ones like these, not the nora roberts/jodi picoult type...

Re: Anyone read any good books lately?

have you read The Lovely Bones or Lucky?

I didn't think I'd like them so much... but I read The Lovely Bones and loved it! So I had to read Lucky.. and I found myself searching for more Alice Sebold novels.....

The Pact by Jodi Picoult was my favorite book !! I actually have to read it again since I'm starting to forget the details.

Lovely Bones was a good one too.
