I want to SCREAM!!! Really long rant .. sorry!!
So... my brother has a fiancee.. (who no one in my family can stand) and they have been together about 7 yrs.. she has a daughter that my brother adopted.. she's 16.
They all live in Philly...
Ok so I asked the daughter to be a bridesmaid.. and she accepted.. Sunday we are placing the final order for the BM dresses.. mind you.. I have been to the store 3 times already with other BMs placing their orders.. but this Sunday is the LAST.
I've asked her for a month now.. to get her measurements to order the dress. My brother told me his fiancee would take her.. and I spoke to her (the mom) last week.. she told me I would have the measurements by yesterday. I spoke to her yesterday (it was her b-day so I called to say hi) and she told me I would have them today.
They are leaving for vacation tomorrow morning.. and won't be back for 3 weeks. I called tonight.. b/c it's driving me INSANE that I don't have them yet.. and I asked for my cousin's address.. just to have an excuse to call.. she said they dont have it.. and that was it.
NOOOO COMMENT ABOUT THE DRESS!!!
Fh thinks she doesn't want her daughter to be in the BP.. ok FINE.. so DECLINE!!! but don't jerk me around.
I am going to flip on my brother soon..
am I being way too emotional!?!?

that's a ridiculous amount of time.
i would talk to your bro and be like, if she wants out...that's fine, but i have to order these dresses NOW.

NOOOO ITS RIDICULOUS LOL.
I went through something similar with one of my BM's. I posted a rave a couple weeks ago. PPL are just ridiculous. I can't even take it lol. Sorry you have to deal with this.

I don't think you are being emotional at all. You have asked quite a few times and her mom I think is really inconsiderate to you. Is the mom in your wedding? Do you think she is insulted because you asked her daughter and not her? I am trying to figure out why she is not cooperating?

She just has an issue with ANYTHING that would inconvenience her in the slightest way.. (the mom)
BUT.. if I had NOT asked her daughter to be in it.. she would have complained about how I excluded her.
Thanks for all your support girls.. I feel less neurotic now.. FH thinks I should just order the dresses without her.. and say "oh well you were too late" but I don't want to hurt my brother's feelings.
but.. obviously no one over there is worried about mine!!!

Not at all. I would just tell her that you have a specific date to have the measurements in by and if she doesnt get them to you the dress cant be ordered. If she doesnt get them to you then that's it.

You are not being ridiculous at all. That is very rude of them and they need to either go get measured or kindly decline being in the bp. That is so rude to not get the measurements before they go on a vacation for 3 weeks. You need to get the order in. That is not fair to you. I think you are right to be upset. I would try to talk to your brother first and then if he doesn't help I would talk to the mother.

you need to call your brother and ask him whats going on is she going to be in the bp or not if so this all needs done now, there cant be no more put offs. explain to him that you have been more than patient with them.

Ok.. so I called my brother.. and he said he thought that his fiancee gave them to me already and he was really sorry.. and then she got on the phone and said.. "oh I thought I e-mailed them to you.. oh well.. I have SO much more IMPORTANT stuff going on.. than worrying about e-mailing you" here they are.. and she finally gave them to me.
but WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!? Seriously?! Why do you have to be SOO RUDE?!?!?!?!
