ring pillow question!

so i want my ring pillow to have white carnations (real flowers) covering it, but then i wont have it as a keepsake bc of the real flowers.....
i had my heart set on the white flowers and a nice ribbon to tie the rings onto, then my mom brought up the point that the flowers are going to die then i dont have anything to keep. Whats more important-- how it looks and the idea of it the day of, or to have it after the wedding???

Re: ring pillow question!

How about putting fake flowers. Then you have the flowers and you can keep it

Re: ring pillow question!

Can I be totally honest here - you're stressing too much over something really insignificant. No one will see your ring pillow, including you. Everyone will say how cute your RB is but won't even notice what the pillow looks like.

Re: ring pillow question!

I would say how it looks the day of the wedding is more important. I don't plan on keeping my pillow. I'm letting the ring bearer have it and letting the flower girl keep her basket.

A LONG time ago I made my mom a pillow with fake flowers. You just cut off the stems and hot glue them onto the pillow. It's really easy and if you go to enough stores you can find beautiful flowers!!

Re: ring pillow question!

i didn't even think to keep my ring pillow..... my rb was to excited for it so i let him keep it! honestly, u are going to have so many other significant things like photos and things that were YOURS. if u want the flowers i'd say go for it and don't worry about keeping it for urself!

Re: ring pillow question!

ps: if you really REALLY have ur heart set on keeping the pillow then of course do without the flowers & keep it! i didn't want to sound insensitive in my above post!

Re: ring pillow question!

me personally i would do whatever is in your vision of a perfect day! just because someone else doesn`t think it`s a good idea doesn`t mean it`s not! if you don`t have what you want will you be truly happy with the outcome? plus are you really going to keep the ring pillow?? i mean it`s just a pillow!????
