Travel Theme Wedding Ideas Wanted!
My fiance and I are thinking about having a travel themed wedding. Please let me know if you have any ideas. We both love to travel and have been to many different places around the world. Thank you for your help.

Re: Travel Theme Wedding Ideas Wanted!
I dont remeber which brdie it was, but someone created a cardbox of out a piece of luggae. It was actually really cute.
Hmm traveling. Well if you do programs you could set them up to look almost like Travel Itinerariers. For table numbers name each table someplace you have gone or would like to go to and you can even use framed postcards or pictures of the two of you at those locations.
The birdesHer username is Longmarriage.
This was her cake topper

And her cardbox:

FM her-she might be able to give you some ideas.

Re: Travel Theme Wedding Ideas Wanted!
You can make the table names different cities you've traveled to, etc...
I know i've seen invitations that are luggage tags...

Re: Travel Theme Wedding Ideas Wanted!
I love your theme! you can do so much with it. You could have pictures of you and your hunny from your different trips in the room or on the tables, maybe you could create a boarding pass for the table cards. You could even call the tables gate numbers instead of table numbers.
Or, if you guys took a trip that was particularly sentimental to you, you could revolve your theme around that. I saw on Ace of Cakes a cake that had a road winding all around it, and then "postcards" made of rice paper leaning on the tier ledges of the cake.
Keep us posted! I'm so curious what you'll do.

Re: Travel Theme Wedding Ideas Wanted!
We had a travel theme at our wedding. This is what we did. I hope you find this helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to FM me.
Instead of having a guest book, we had postcards made and then used a vintage travel case for people to put them in.
We also gave out luggage tags as favors which everyone seemed to like.
We named our tables after places we have traveled to or plan to travel to. It's very hard to see in this pic, but the table name is leaning against the flowers.
Finally, we created placecards that looked like postcards. If you look closely you'll see the postmark has our names and wedding date.
