teeth whitening rant-----haha jess i went home so i could write about this..just incase u dont want to go tomorrow
Ok so i went to laser plus in bellmore today and I was not impressed.
when they took me into a massage room they told me to lay down...didnt explain anything to me at all about the whole procedure which i think they should...
she just starts putting the stuff on my teeth...then hands me the mouth guard in a PLASTIC BAG, now maybe bc im in the medical field im a germ-phobe but ew...very unsanitary...and sits there doesnt say a word and reads a magazine while im holding this gross thing in my mouth.
then she just takes it out of my mouth and does it again and tells me to rinse. Then puts a new plastic bag on it and puts it in my mouth again.
then afterwards I didnt know if we were done because she just walks out...wierd lol
didnt even show me in the mirror or anything..so I asked to see a mirror and shes like ok I have to find one...ummmm if u do teeth whitening dont u think youd have a mirror so people could seeee??!?!?!
I dont know...I dont see much of a result when the lady on the phone told me my teeth would be 8-10 shades lighter..maybe I see 1 shade?
tell me what u think...and yes my front teeth r gross when I have my mouth open an my teeth arent closed but I am getting my new retainer made tomorrow that I can wear at night since im an idiot who had braces for 4 years and didnt wear my first retainer!
oh and i also want to add that I asked when I left so should I not drink coffee and stuff? bc Ive heard that and she goes.."eh if u want its no big deal"
umm ok ??? lol i just dont think they were very professional and highly trained on using the equipment
the first picture is before...the second is right after and the 3rd is about 20 minutes ago...I dont notice any differance :(

Hmm.. i dont really notice a difference either!!! The picture on their site make it seem like such a difference.. im questioning whether or not i should cancel my appt.

ok I think I do see a difference in the 3rd picture but I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me because I want to see a difference. I'm sorry you had a bad experience

I also went and I didn't see much of a difference for me, but my brother and his girlfriends teeth looked whiter. Also they say it takes about 48 hours for it to get brighter. The women we had was very friendly, she kept us laughing the whole time. We had a good time. But since it was only $100 it wasn't that bad. You also have to avoid coffee, tea, wine any food's with dark colors for about 3 days.

oh and jess, maybe u can notice a differance more on people whos teeth are a more yellow shade...
your teeth are very white..and mine r pretty white so maybe thats why im not noticing

see I think maybe the lady I had wasnt that great...
since u liked them.. this lady said like two words to me its so wierd...
and she also didnt tell me to wait 48 hrs..so we will see

HAHA I used to do that with my cat, and it wasn't even my cat! It was my roommate's cat and I happened to share an apt with her in college. Here is a secret, I only went to grad school so I can get a puppy, FH said once I graduate I can get one so that is my motivation

Jessie I am sorry you had such a bad appointment and experience with them
now i am pondering wether or not i should cancel mine?? i think my teeth or a little yellowier i guess i can say than yours normally haha so i wonder if that makes a difference..like how light your teeth actually are in the first place?? I wonder...?

but i do think i see a difference in the third pic but like jess said that could be because i want my mind to think that! haha
