cermony music suggestions--

FH doesn't want a quartet - I want musician(s) that can play very modern music (aka stairway to heaven) along with classics. Our ceremony is about 20-30 mins long but its outside and we are renting out the entire house until the reception so we may like the peope to play for longer, but we don't know about affording it for that long. What are you girls doing?? Anyone thinking outside the box on this one?

I booked w/ a duet, they offer quartets, trio or other options. They are professional musicians that have played for top symphonies. They have played modern songs like "Stairway to Heaven", Beatles, some Metallica songs and many others. I can give you their info and you can contact them....they are recommended here on LIW

Re: cermony music suggestions--

if you get musicians for a cermony, they usually will be contracted for 1 hour. they play music as ppl are entering for the ceremony, then prelude music right before the ceremony starts, and then the music itself.

we had a string trio for almost 1 1/2 hrs. they were there upstairs as ppl were coming in, waiting to be allowed into our ceremony room downstairs. they then moved downstairs for prelude music, and played until the last person left the ceremony. we also had different music (Like Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" during our vows)

Check out Natalie from Capriccio Ensemble....she did such a wonderful job at our ceremony with her trio. (They are vendors on here)
