dont know what to do (re. hair and makeup)
so i booked my hair and makeup artist and i wasnt 100% happy with both. (pics in my album) my friend denise (fall07bride) had her trials done with oksana and jen the hair genie and absolutely adore everything they did. my grandma had written out a check and it bounced so im thinking then im not 100% booked right? would you change your artists? i feel bad because they're both great but it just wasnt really what i was looking for. :-/

what you need to decide is this: do you wanna be NOT 100% happy with your look on your wedding day or would you rather tell the artists "thanks but no thanks"???? You really don't owe them anything....BUT before you call them MAKE SURE the "back up people" are even available for your date!!!!

That's fine, but your deposit was still supposed to be non-refundable, right?
The check bounced. The right thing to do is to pay the deposit when you cancel. It's only right.

Yeah this is what I would do. I don't understand why you would book them in the first place if you weren't 100% happy.

If you liked your friends then why dont you ask your people to try to duplicate that. They may be able to give you that exact look. If it were me I would feel bad canceling on someone that you already booked. But if you do truly want to cancel then I would call them and do the right thing even though its uncomfortable. But as someone said before make sure you know that the other are not booked for your wedding day!

Go for it.. I had to call a makeup artist.. I just told her that we were cutting costs and we didn't need her services anymore..
