I must admit, I'd skip the books, and buy french magazines in the airport and brush-up.... preferably design or cooking mags... brainless reads

Re: what's your favorite book?
My all time favorite book is A Separate Peace by John Knowles, but you probably read that in high school.
I just read a great book (but it made me sob) by the author who wrote Tuesdays with Morrie. I think it was called One More Day... but I'm not sure.
I loved both of James Frey's books (A Million Little Pieces and My Friend Leonard), but those may be a little heavier (and more raw) than you're looking for.

One More Day is by Mitch Albom.

Re: what's your favorite book?
Ah, so it is called One More Day!
It's a fast read, too.
I knew it was the same author as Tuesdays with Morrie, but I couldn't remember his name. Thanks!

No problem. When you wrote it I looked at it funny because I just saw Les Mis and kep thinking of that song, "One Day More".

Re: what's your favorite book?
Depends what you like. I have faves in diff genres depending on my mood.
For run "beachy" reads, I like comedic romance. Sandra Hill and Jennifer Crusies are THE best! Keep you laughing from start to finish. #1-Tell me Lies by jennifer Crusie #2-Any of the Cajun LeDeux family series like "Tall, dark and Cajun" by Sandra Hill #3: "Pink Jinx" by Sandra Hill
For suspense, I LOVE tess Gerritsen. She does somewhat gory but great paced thrillers. The BEST one ever was "the Surgeon." SOOOO well written. You wont even notice time going by.

Re: what's your favorite book?
The Mitch Albom book is called For One More Day. It's a good book, but pretty sappy. The Shopaholic books are fun and quick - great for a plane ride.

Re: what's your favorite book?
a great website for cheap books is half.com It's a division of ebay but you don't have to bid on the books...just buy them from other people (sometimes they are used) and it's soooo cheap. $.75 or $1.00 for books sometimes .... Just put in the title and you can find almost any book.
My recommendations
The Celestine Prophecy Replay Natural cures they don't want you to know about
