NWR: Need Opinions PLEASE! Help with my kitchen table selection!
DH and I STILL don't have a kitchen table...and now we are finally able to start shopping, now that our apt. is not looking like a tornado hit it. What do we think?
$300 for the entire set...is that too much or what? i don't know anything about prices for kitchen tables...is that good price?

It's a great deal as long as you know that it will have a short life span. Generally when furniture is on the cheaper end it shows wear and tear a whole lot faster. Who cares when your just starting out though! We got an entire dinning room set (4 chairs, 2 end chairs, table with 2 leaves, buffet AND liquor chest) from Levitz for under $1000 but we got our beautiful queen size Ethan Allen Sleigh Bed (JUST THE BED FRAME!) and it was $1200! 
So it all depends.
I like the pic of your kitchen table choice. It looks like target or K-mart. I say go for it! What the hell? The stuff from target, wal-mart, k-mart and ikea is all pretty much the same at this point (well, depending) and I like almost all of it. It's nice because in 5 years when we want to change things up we can throw this cheap stuff out (or give it away) and not feel guilty about it.

I'm a bit worried that it's too inexpensive. How well is it made? Usually, a table will cost more than that by itself...
I'd flip over the chairs and peek under the table to make sure it's well made.... maybe scrutinize the in-store sample to see how well it's dealing with abuse....
