My 6-2-06 Beach Club Estate wedding.... with pics!

Well, here's my review. I know its late, but i am a person who's NEVER on time! I hope you enjoy!!


My Bridal Shower, Corner Galley, Massapequa A+:
It was great, ran very smoothly, food was good, everyone had a great time!!

The Tiara I WANTED was way over what I wanted to spend!!! SOOOO after buying about 3 different ones on Ebay, I was about to give up!! I saw this one for $12 and figured I'd give it a shot! If it didn't work, I would suck it up and spend a small fortune..... well This one was PERFECT! The quality was excellent!

They came fast, and were very pretty. My only complaint is that a lot of the personalized ribbons were messed up. I had enough, so I didn't complain.

BM dresses, Estelles in Farmingdale D:
We looked at a few places and I was not even planning to go to Estelles, but I went because my girls suggested I looked there. We found a dress I liked and ordered. The woman said we had to order right then because it took 8 months for the dresses to come in. They told 3 of my 4 girls that they should get an 18. Now the 3 girls are NOT the same size, you can see that from looking at them, but they all ordered the suggested size (for $30 more) and my other BM was told to get a size 6. The next day my BM called me up and said she would feel better getting a 4, so I called Estelles and was told that was IMPOSSIBLE since the orders went out. I said, "so they are already making the dress?!" and they said "yes" after speaking to someone higher up, I got them to change the dress to a 4. So, fast forward 4 weeks, I come home from work and there is a message on the machine saying the girl’s dresses are in. I call up the store and they tell me that the girls have 2 weeks to come in and get their dresses, or they're going on the racks, when I explained that one girl is OOT, they said it didn't matter. So, I hauled a$$ and picked up the dresses and they were BEYOND wrinkled! When the girls tried on their dresses they were HUGE and needed MAJOR alterations! So, to make a long story short, all that "extra" fabric they paid for..... got cut off!!

We ordered the dress on line..... after that I NEVER heard from her again!! The dress was supposed to come 2/27, and as I am writing this, it still hasn't came!!! The woman would not return ANY o our phone calls, and my FG's mother is STILL trying to dispute the charges. STAY AWAY from this site!

my experience was eh... fathers pants were to short, wrong tie for ring bearer.... holes an stains on some of tuxes.... looks nice in pics, however..

Reception Location: Beach Club Estate B
I was VERY nervous about this place. I booked hastily and after hearing feedback, I just felt like I had made a wrong descion. I worried about the “bowling alley” and the dance floor being too small. I only saw it once before I dropped off my favors and pictured it to be ugly. I was just so bummed about my descion. Leading up to the wedding, when we had to go to the hall (for whatever reason) they would keep sending us to Windows on The Lake. I didn’t like this at all. They were pleasant to deal with when we were there. Hard to get in touch with and not quick to return calls (unless it was for an upgrade).
Day of: They did a great job. The food was great. It stank because it rained so I couldn’t have my outdoor CH and the CH room was PACKED and hot. But it was still really nice. The outdoor AREA.

The guy who took the video was very nice (don’t remember his name) barley knew he was there. He sis a good job. The problem is the audio of my video is AWFUL and “there’s nothing that can be done about it” I also received DVDs that didn’t work that great (skipped, froze, ect) so they are sending me vhs…..


Limousine: C
They were OKAY…. On time. Clean. Just at the end of the night, when the town car came to take us to the hotel, and my dh tipped him for the 2 min ride, we were informed this “wasn’t enough” MIND YOU, we were supposed to have the same limo driver we did before, and since we had already tipped the other 2 (one that was supposed to come back) we were not expecting to tip a large sum again. Basically, we tipped 25% of what the ride cost. After he complained to DH, one of our drunken friends threw in $100, so IMO, he got a RIDICULIS tip, and if I had known what was going on I would have stopped our friend right there. But, what’s done is done!

Florist: James Cress B+ I loved my flowers! Just what I wanted. The only Complaint was that DH buttoner was the wrong color, and my moh flowers were supposed to be bigger than bms and were the same size.

Makeup: Denise from Angel Eyes A++++ What can I say? She was wonderful. Did such a great job. On time, personable, and made me look better that I ever have before! My friend even wants to book her for her upcoming wedding!

Hair: Hair by Diana A+ Came SUPER early. Got everyone done. Made everyone look beautiful. I don't really have any good pics besides this one due to the fact that my photographer didn't take any….

Photographer: ADA Photography - d
Not enough candids, not a lot of romantic pictures, missing a lot of BASIC picture (food, guests, pics of both sides of family), she left an hour earl and sat in the back of the room for a LARGE portion of the wedding on her blackberry or whatever. BUT the pics she did take are very nice.
I also had some problems with the customer service, called to let me know my proofs were is, when I went to get them, they weren’t there. Guy just kind of shrugged me off. When I called, they told me basically to look for it myself (call the other offices). When I finally did find the proofs, and went to get them, they just kind of threw paper work at me (standard paper work) and I filled it out wrong because they didn’t “explain it to me. They seem confused a lot and everyone tells me something different. FM me for more details


Honeymoon: Dreams Puerto Vallarta A+++++++ This was a very “romantic” place to go… I would love to go back someday.

You looked beautiful! I would file a complaint to the better business bureau about the flower girl dress and the limos.

I can't wait to see your honeymoon pics! We are going to PV too!
