So FH and I are thinking of a nice restaurant to celebrate our 6th year anniv.
Any recommendations in queens or nearby long island

Go to austin street in forest hills definitely...I LOOOVE cabana there, its cuban food...there is also mardi gras which is creole food and very good.

Or if you are willing to go to Astoria which is a 10-15 min drive from forest hills then go to L'incontro, it is real good and such a nice place...you would def need reservations bc it gets crazy in there...it was in the top 10 restaurants in nyc

yeah i love that place, the food is amazing and it is fancy and also romantic. Def a great place

parkside (it's in corona) is the best italian food but it's super hard to get a reservation I'm not sure if you'll be able to get in, it wouldn't hurt to call

it depends on what you like, everyone i know loves it...and also everyone i told to go there and got their voodoo chicken, which is blackened chicken-thats just the name for the process of how they cook it, with the jumbo shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus they all kept going back just for that.
The food can be spicy and alot of people dont like that...but there are options on the menu that doesnt have spicy food

It really is amazing food. I went with FH for valentine's day and he said it was the best veal he's ever had. I go once a month with the girls from work, you have to check it out.

we love trying new restaurants, the voodoo chicken sounds good!!! I'll ask him when he gets him. We've been to the italian restaurant in corona, also very good!!!! Mmmm I'm hungry!!!!

not today but we're going soon I told FH about it and he wants to check it out too. I actually suggested giving those out as favors at the wedding and I showed him pictures from your eparty and he thought it was a great idea, so thank you so much!

OMG i love it...When i took Fh, after finally convincing him to go since he cant eat spicy food and he had the voodoo chicken, he was like OMG this is amazing, and every bite you can tell how much he enjoyed it lol.
ALso if you are interested in something a little different, there is a french and spaniard restaurant in astoria called 718, it is amazing...They even use truffles in their food, i had the salmon with white truffle foam and it was great...I love it bc the portions are perfect size and its one of the only places i actually can have dessert after and still feel great after...their desserts are great too...its also a real cute place, the decor, its small cozy and all lit by candlelight

HAHAHA no problem, like i said before everyone loved it and even days after were telling me how they loved the cupcakes.

parkside is AWESOME!!!
they have the bestttttt mozzarella en carozza I've ever had.. super light not heavy at all.. and the chicken parm is sooo good!!
plus it's right across from the lemon ice king.. so voila.. dessert!
