Church Brides - Music ??
What is everyone using for their prrcessional and recessional songs. Being that it is in the Catholic church I know there are limits. Just wondering what everyone else was doing.

Re: Church Brides - Music ??
My church would allow me to use whatever I want but since our ceremony is just the ceremony (no mass) we wanted to keep it most traditional.
Is there an organ in your church or are you hiring musicians. The reason I ask is because we only have an organ so the music we choose was based on how it sounded on that. We excluded anything that we liked but sounded weird on it.

Re: Church Brides - Music ??
My church is allowing me to use any song just as long as there is no bad languange in it. For our processional we are using From this Moment On by Shania Twain and for our Recessional I wanted something really different and really upbeat so we are using Praise You by Fat Boy Slim.

Re: Church Brides - Music ??
I think I will be using:
Processional (bride and dad) Canon in D by Pachelbel
Recessional Wedding March from A Midsummer's Night Dream by Mendlessohn
I also want to include Ave Maria during the mass.
I don't know what the Prelude will be or what my girls will walk down the aisle to.
You can go to amazon.com or cdnow.com and search under wedding music to hear different selections.

Re: Church Brides - Music ??
We're using Canon in D for the girls, and I'm walking in to The Wedding Song by Kenny G. We're using Ave Maria for the Offertory, If I Should Fall by Bruce Springsteen for the Candle Lighting, and a Mozart tune for Communion. We are walking out to a march written by my FH's grandfather who is now deceased.
We are not using any organ music at all. We will have a string quartet, trumpets, a friend on guitar, and another friend on piano.
