I was told that the prices for Oheka Castle would be approximately the same for 2009 as for 2008 when I visited and told them that I was looking for 2009.

I was quoted 130 per person w/o tax and gratuity for Sept 09 at Lands End. We booked in 07 though so we got those prices.

Hello Everyone, I just rebooked my reception at Chateau La Mer for March 21st 2009 from 1-6pm, a saturday afternoon for $55. This was after I had to cancel my booking at Jericho Terrace on a saturday night in June 2009 which was more than double the price I am paying now. Long, Long story. Nevertheless, I need to really tighten in on a budget within the next 2 weeks and I am searching for a videographer and a florist and limo for right now. I did not know if anyone had any suggestions or any experiences with vendors in general but specifically in those arenas associated with CLM or in the nearby area.

Yay, congrats on Booking CLM...I am getting married there too! I am using one of their house photographers..The Velvet Studio. Their prices are reasonable and I loved their work! Good luck. FM me if you have any questions!!!

I got quoted $95 pp for a Friday night in October at The Watermill.
We didn't book there, but I thought it wasn't too bad for the 2nd weekend in October, which is still a prime month.

hi guys these prices are for may 2009
majestic gardens=$85pp ++
larkfield manor=$80pp ++ but willing to work with us on price and will throw in lots of extras 
windows on the lake/beach club estate $70pp++
med manor all inclusive package for 100 people was like 10 or 11,000
manor east 150 people w/vh all inclusive package was $19,500.00
thats all i remember for now

Sans Souci -deluxe menu are 70 pp, premier menu 80 pp, savior fair menu 110.00pp
Betty's Catering - $50+ pp -buffet, $78+ pp for sitdown
East Wind Country Gardens- $84.95 - Premier, $99.95 + pp Elite
East Wind Northampton - $99.95 Premier, $164.95 Elite
Watermiill - Sat. afternoon $79 pp

I stil love this post. Does anyone have any new pricing? I am traveling down to LI next week to check out 15 halls. I just couldn't narrow it down. I have a gut feeling I am going to end up with Chateau Le Mer or Chateau Briand.
Anyone have any tips for checking out places?? Specific questions I should ask? or any insise info on getting good deals esp with CLM and CB??

Im going to see CLM on Monday with FH. We both fell in love with the pictures on the website. Gotten some good info on this site from other CLM brides. Right now, appt with Lou, so hope all goes well. Any suggestions on locations and pricing for LI reception halls near the water.
Since we are paying for it ourselves we are definitely thinking of doing the Sunday night route.

Here is additional pricing for Westbury Manor per person including gratuity (20%) & tax (8.625%) for an evening ceremony & reception with 100 people guaranteed
April - Fri - $116.01
May - Fri - 126.44
June - Oct. - Fri - 129.05
I'm actually having a smaller wedding at Westbury Manor but the prices are similar probably due to the season.
May-June 09 - Saturday afternoon - 60 ppl guaranteed = about $120 (incl tax & grats)

Ok.... So I finally visited places while I was down in L.I. so I got some more prices to share.
July/August 2009 (before tax and grat.)
Leonard's of Great Neck- Friday night $73pp
(And only 18% grat instead of 20% at most places.. but just seemed like too much going on at once there)
Jericho Terrace- Friday night $85/90pp (beautiful, BM was awesome)
Fox Hollow - Friday night $80pp (they were soooo nice and they gave a little fox stuffed animal- which my dog now loves...lol! It just wasn't our style.)
ChateauBriand - Friday night $77pp (Very Art Deco)
Ventian Yacht Club - Sunday Day $90pp (negotiate to $85pp) (gorgeous, but was a bit cold to me)
CLM - Friday night, $90 (but I talked him down to $85)
Sunday night $70
(Right on the water, has nice extras, BM was awesome.... felt like an extension of my big italian family...LOL)
Prices are factual.... the rest is just my opinion based on first impression (except CLM since I was there mutiple times)
