Chateau Briand

Saturday night, Memorial Day Weekend

$100/pp.

Not sure how many menu choices there are, or the differences, but this is with "Prestige Menu" -- think it's pretty typical menu . . . .

wow thats alot of info.

The only place I have seen was Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn which quoted me $120 pp for Saturday night in May or June without the vienesse hour which was an additional $15 pp.

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 09

We just got enaged about a week and a half ago but since we want a summer wedding (he's a teacher) we wanted to start looking ASAP and a bunch of places are very full already!

Crescent Beach Club: $130 for Friday night; $105 for a Thursday night / $95 if we could guarantee 200 people. (We only considered Thursdays bc I used to live in Bayville and always wanted to get married there but knew it was out of our budget)

All of these places are for a Friday night, before tax for July or August:

Fox Hollow: $81 pp

Swan Club: $75 pp, $20 additional pp for the “Platinum Package”

Westbury Manor: $109 pp

Woodbury CC: $105 pp

The Watermill: $84 pp

99% sure we're going to go with The Swan Club... we thought it was beautiful but any advice about it is great!

Also maybe I'm a little slow... but what does bump mean?

Swan Club is so beautiful, I have some pictures in my album. if you have any questions just ask, I have been there so many times and I have asked them just about everything.
Are you thinking of choosing the platinum package??

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 09

We are def considering the Plat. package... only bc both of our families both really like seafood and just getting the boat by itself was $15, so it's worth the extra $5 for everything else.

But then it ends up being the same price (or more) than everywhere else and since we're paying for most of it ourselves it's a tough call!

We have the date (7/24) saved until tomorrow and I'm 99% sure we're going to book it - it was both of our favorites but I hadnt known too many people who had been there recently so I was worried, but these boards have been so helpful!

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 09

I was pricing for both January and October. This is what I got:

Ariana Waterfall:
January: $60pp
or $9,500 for their middle level all inclusive package for 100 ppl.
Did not get quote for October.

Milleridge Inn: The Cottage
**They have different prices based on the menus..I was quoted for the middle menu, I think it was called the Silver Menu..not 100% sure**
January: $78 pp
October: $94 pp
*Had to guarantee 120

Riviera:
January: $68pp
October: $100pp
*Had to guarantee 130

Fox Hollow: Winter Garden Pavillion
October: $105pp
Did not ask for January quote.
*Had to guarantee 120

Douglaston Manor: Grand Ballroom (Guarantee 120)
I ended up picking their all-inclusive package in conjunction with the Wedding Plaza (Ariana Studios).

It's $16,995 for up to 100 people, includes reception, photo, video, dj, limo, flowers, invites, grooms tux. If you go over 100 people, then it's as follows:

January: $80pp
October: $105pp
These are also the rates if you wanted reception only, not the package.

All these prices do not include tax or grat.

And these are all for Saturday night.

Any other questions, FM me

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 09

For a Saturday in April, Chateau La Mer is like $108 per person and that includes tax and gratuity. You also get the top shelf liquor, the cocktail hour with all of the food, and the dinner, cake, and some dessert plates on the table. I'd definitely recommend them. It's $500 for teh site fee and something like $300 maitre'd fee.

I hear you!!!

We had no choice but to do a winter wedding otherwise we'd be eating hot dogs and cereal for the next 3 years to pay it off BUT I mean the prices are SO drastic--I really wonder why more people don't get married in the winter?!

BUT I can totally see how appealing a spring/summer wedding is!! The weather is gorgeous pretty much all of the time and you don't have to worry about a snowstorm!!! I just PRAY we don't get a Noreaster the day of my wedding!

Re: Reception Hall Price Quotes for 09

We were looking for a Friday night in June 2009 that only does one event at a time and received quotes from the following:

Glen Cove Mansion - Glen Cove
$150 plus 20% svc and 8.625% tax

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club
$150pp plus 20% svc and 8.625% tax

The Old Field Club - Setauket
$109pp plus 18% svc and 8.625%

The Woodlands
$120pp plus 20% svc and 8.625% tax
120 min guar for Fri night in June

We're going with the Woodlands - it was in a good location for us and beautiful. I loved Old Field Club but it was too far out on the island for our guests.
