Hello brides to be!! My sister got me this book that's called Wedding Sites and Services. Inside it contains over 250 reception halls all over LI. The book contains locations, prices, the capacity, the menus, the # of weddings at a time, and much more. If anyone needs any help please feel free to ask. It's the bride to be reception Bible!!!!!

this is before tax and gratuity but CLM is $85 for saturday, $75 for friday and $65 for sunday...i have the price list at home for CLM, i can tell you which months exactly later and price after tax and gratuity
Denise, were your quotes for your E-party or wedding?? Because I was quoted $115 for a 200 person minimum, Saturday in May of 08...so I'm confused with your prices. I'm guessing it might even go up possibly like $5/pp for an 09 bride!

yours were for may.
from that month to the next it becomes "expensive summer season"

CLM is uaully busy i have made an appointment everytime! if you go there make your appointment with Nick he is so awesome!! we is my maitre d' as well as my friend whos getting married in nov, and he was my other friedns for her wedding last year . he is so awesome!!! good luck ladies! if anyone needs help let me know i have been to ALOT of halls! lol

Here are the quotes I received for January 16, 2009 evening reception:
Fox Hollow: MIn. of 110 people with 7:30 ceremony $65.00 per person plus 20% gratuity & 8.625% tax
Chateau La Mer: Min of 100 for upstairs room, min of 125 for downstairs room. $62.00 per preson plus 18% gratuity, 8.625% tax & Maitre D fee of $300
Woodbury Country Club: Min of 125, with 7:00 pm ceremony, $65.00 per person plus 20% gratuity & 8.65% tax
Westbury Manor: Min of 100 with 8:00 ceremony, $72.00 per person plus 20% gratuity & 8.625% tax

I am planning my LI wedding from Maryland so I can't go to these places until the next time I come up to New York, which won't be for a few weeks. I am interested in Venitian Yacht Club, Chateau La Mer, Lakefeild Manor, Majestic Gardens and Crest Hollow Country Club, for an August 2009 saturday night wedding. How much you think the price increase would be for August?
Also I was thinking about sending my Mom, and My MOH to a few of the places I like to get price quotes for me. WOuld they even talk to them?

I think August prices will be similar to July prices. If price is a big concernt, I would also recommend getting prices some other months. You never know you might change your date. I was dead set on a May or June wedding and got prices for March and decided to have it then and since I teach I would just go on the HM during Spring Break.
As far as payments, most RH require a downpayment of about $1000 and then they set you up with a payment schedule. The earlier you book your RH the more spread out your payments will be. The same goes with the majority of vendors.

Fri-90
Sat 115
Sun 85
Not bad at all and not so scary. They said that the down payment is 1000 and 1000 every other month. Just like you said!

FYI thats before gratuity! They quoted me the same, but theyll map it out for u when u meet with them.
I was going to book there for May 08 and after tax and gratuity its approx 148. a person. I dont remember the percentage if it was 18 or 20...

Hmm...When we were originally looking at January the quote included a tropical bar, chocolate fountain, chair covers and a Caribbean hot food station for CH. Is the ice sculpture in addition to the one at the Champagne Welcome?
