Anyone order dresses from Davids Bridal?

My dress should have been in a month or 2 ago. I've called twice to see if its in yet. Both times they told me that they were busy and they would call me back. They never did. I'm going to have to walk in and see for myself. They already charged my cc when they ordered it. Did anyone have the same experience?

I ordered my gown from Davids and I had to call a few times before I got an answer that it was in. as soon as I found out that it was in I went down and picked it up. I did not have the alterations done there....way too much $$$$ and they arent very good.
Call back again and try and talk to a manager...try calling on a Tues or Wed afternoon...less busy then,

I got a name from one of the bridal shops of a woman that works out of her home....she did a wonderful job!!

I was at David's Bridal this weekend again, they told me they can't "order" new dresses. Is this true? When they say "order" they told me that means they are just ordering from another store but off their rack, please tell me your understanding of that and if you ordered yours brand new. Thanks!

i got my dress brand new, see I am 5'11" and they had to make mine with extra length, so my case was different.
I can't see buying a dress from off the rack that people tried on a zillion times!!!!!!!!!! how is this possible???
If they have dresses no one has tried on, BRAND NEW not tried on, ok- but if not i'd request the store managers attention, get her name and if she tells you that you can't order a new dress, ask her where you can speak to someone of a higher position than her and take it from there.
if you see a dress you really love, it's worth it, if not, go somewhere else.

I ordered my dress from David's, and they called me last week to say it was in (I did not expect it until mid August). When I go to pick it up tomorrow, I will let you know how it looks, etc. I was told it was being ordered new because my size was not in stock there. No one mentioned that it was coming from another store, but I also know the dress i got # 5151, was a new style, not in the catalogs or on web site yet, that it had just come in the week before, so that may be why it had to be ordered b/c it is a new style, not sure

I went there two weeks ago and ordered my dress and my flower girl dress and maid of honor dress. They were pretty good with me.
