Coach Bus instead of Limo?

Has anyone booked a coach bus instead of the traditional limo? I know it might not be as elegant but it seems practical, especially for a large bridal party. My FH friend had one and it was (most importantly)....roomy and comfortable. It even had a bar (not a mini-bar), a bar maid and bathroom on it! Any input and/or pricing?

Re: Coach Bus instead of Limo?

we are getting a rolls royce and a limousine bus. the limo bus will take my bridal party to church and the rolls will pick up my dad and me, take us to church. after we are married, the rolls will take us to take pics, after that we will let the rolls go and hop in the limo bus with our bridal party and have a blast on the way to the reception!
the bus we are getting is from ULTIMATE EXPRESS COACH of Staten Island. They are vendors on this board and have AWESOME buses with bathrooms and ALL!
The insides are beautiful, you'd never believe it! You can stand up in the aisles and dance and its so roomy, has a mini bar.....
The price is the same as if you would get limos. Check them out!

Re: Jennbaby...

I don't know if they charge extra, I live in Queens and my reception is in Long Island but I swear the limo buses are SO beautiful!
And they have different ones, like up to 24 passengers, up to 32 passengers and stuff like that.
Leather chairs, cd players...really go look at them, they are so gorgeous and whats great is the whole bridal party fits and then some and everyone can be together & start the party early!
They have awesome, clean cars & well dressed professional drivers.
Good Luck & let us know what you decide!

Re: Coach Bus instead of Limo?

i am getting a bus instead of a limo, from Royalty Limosines. It seats like 30, and we only have 12, so we will have plenty of room! After dropping taking us for pics after the church, it will drop us off at the reception and then go to the hotel and pick up our guests! (we have shuttle vans coming for them after the party is over). I was a little hesitant at first bc I thought we'd be missing out on the limo pic, but I'm over that now! good luck!

I'm looking into getting a luxury bus for my bridal party as well.
This was the first company I looked at:
http://www.royalbuses.com/blk-bus.html
I was quoted $1400 for 3hours and $100 each hour additional.
I'm sold on the bridal makeup room in this bus, but I've heard that Royalty has a better deal on the same bus.
Is the bus your renting similar to the one I want and if you don't mind my asking what kind of price structure were you given?
Thanks!

Re: Coach Bus instead of Limo?

royalty gave us $1250 for 4 hours (3 hours with one hour of OT) and this price also INCLUDES the shuttle van for 2 hours for our guests at the end of the night, and the towncar ride to the airport for our honeymoon! We had to haggle a bit, but I was happy. No make up room, but there is a bathroom and full bar. good luck!
