HM Review - Sandals - St. Lucia Regency - lots of pics
I finally got around to uploading pics from the honeymoon. Here is a brief review on our fantabulous vacation
We flew into Miami and had a two and a half hour layover - NOT FUN...once we got to St. Lucia we then had about an hours drive from the airport to the hotel again NOT FUN...but as soon as we got there we were relaxed. We stayed in the Concierge suites and our butler met us in the lobby with a much needed tropical drink. He unpacked our bags for us and made dinner reservations for the week at all the restaurants at the resort that needed them. Through out the vacation our butler would surprise us every night when we got back from dinner - from a bottle of champagne and candles on the table, to a rose petal bubble bath surrounded by candles and soothing music playing in the background...
The resort was super -clean, our room was great and we had an amazing view of the ocean and the ocean bluffs. There are three pool areas on the resort - we stayed at the one near the Italian restaurant the whole week. The drinks at pool were yummy - Sandals Angels and Banana Daiquiri’s - four or five of those and you suddenly feel like the calm pool turned into a wave pool - at least I did - the bartender was very generous with the liquor...
The food at the resort was probably the most disappointing. Then again I don't know what Caribbean island has GREAT food - don't get me wrong it was ok - it just wasn't good GOOD. Out of the 7 restaurants that were available - I would say 2 were good...the rest were "ehh" - the Caribbean restaurant - The Piton was the best - SURPRISE SURPRISE, followed by the French restaurant - La Toc...
They offered a lot of excursions – but they all were pretty much the same or a combination of two or three different trips. We did the land Volcano and Rain Forest one. What a BEAUTIFUL island…the scenary is breathtaking…it was raining throughout most of it…but once it stopped the island turned this incredible shade of green…DH and I were in awe.
Overall we had a great time...we met some really nice couples from all around the world, we relaxed, we ate, we just soaked it all in. Anyone who is going to the Sandals Regency in St. Lucia - you are in good hands...the island is GORGEOUS and the people very friendly just try and get a direct flight into the island – avoid the layover in Miami or see if you can fly into the airport closer to the resort – the drive is NOT fun…long and winding roads…remember the Dramamine

Awesome pics!! We stayed in the same place with the rooms on the bluff. That place is awesome and I can't wait to go back!! The only restaurant I didn't like was the pitons.

Yes we did. It was well worth it!! Gordons was amazing! We went 2 times. The grand hotel was really pretty and nice to see. The halcoyn looked horrible! Did you do any scuba diving. We wanted to do that but didn't have time by the time we found out we could.

Wait until I tell DH...he was just not into the ride - I said "I bet its the BEST resturant...LOL We did not do any water sports...unless you consider laying out and drinking a sport...
I wanted to do the rainforest tree top one - where you literally climb tress and swing - lol but we did not bring sneakers and FH didn't think I would makeit passed the first bug... so he didn't want to waste his money...

who was your butler! We didn't get the note and the bed thing! That's awesome. The bubble bath was great! We went on the land & sea tour. which did what you did and then we got to go by boat and see the island, saw a bat cave & went snorkeling.

lol....that was me too I love laying out on the beach! We did go kayaking a few time though. which was awesome. We saw these blue fish that came right up to us. I stuck my hand in the water and took some pics so I hope they come out.
I didn't do the tree top one either all though it did look really fun and I wanted to. I just wanted to relax.

Beautiful...we went to St. Lucia too but we stayed at the Grande....I think I may be dumb but what is Gordon's? Is that the restaurant out on the pier at the Grande? It was brand new when we were there and we weren't allowed to eat there beacuse they were only letting butler rooms...

Yes that is what it is. They said other people can eat there you would just have to pay for it but if you have a high class room then you don't pay.

We went there too and loved it. I am so sad after reading your review bc I WANT TO GO BACK!!!!!!!
ETA: I laughed when I saw the pic of the how the butler fluffed your pillows and turned down the bed. The first night they did this, we thought someone had been in our room!

Re: HM Review - Sandals - St. Lucia Regency - lots of pics
That was the best part of our trip! We met three other couples that got married and arrived the same weekend. We spent most of our trip with them and we still keep in touch with one of the couples. It made the trip a lot of fun! I think if it was just the two of us alone for 10 days, we'd be sick of each other, LOL.
