I may have found my dress
So I went for my first ever dress try-on and I fell in love with a dress!!!!!! I went to Kleinfelds and tried on only about 5 dresses before I put on this one by Stephen Yearick and I fell in love.
I didn't put a deposit down though because I'm scared it's too soon (and probably too pricey considering it's Kleinfelds).
I'm going to go to two or three more places and try on a few other things but I have a feeling that it's the one.
The sneaky thing I did was write down the model number of the dress. (I feel bad about it since the girl was soooo nice.) It probably wasn't the nicest thing to do, but for what I'm spending, I just need to be sure that I'm getting a fair price. I'm going to call some other places to check to see if they carry it and if so how much it is.
I'm so excited about finding a dress!!!

Congrats!!! Call Phyllis at Bridal Elegance, or e-mail them (gownfind@aol.com)......I called them about 2 dresses- one was $100 cheaper and the other $400 cheaper if I order through them.
Do you have a picture of the dress?

Congrats!
I don't think there is ANYTHING wrong with taking the style number. The places I've been to gave me the style number so I'd have it.
Contact Phyllis at www.gownfind.com to get a price quote from her.
The gown I fell in love with at Macy's (though haven't decided, yet - going to Kleinfelds this week to try on more) was more than 30% off if I order it through Phyllis... which I plan to do when I decide on a dress.

that is a gorgeous dress!!!! I've seen it in person b/c my best friend ordered the same one!!! She ordered it through Bridal Reflections in Carle Place, it was still a little pricey, but maybe they're cheaper than Kleinfelds???

for any pictures you find on a website that you want to post, right click it, go to properties and highlight the location info, hit ctrl +C and as your writing a post click on "insert web image" to the left and then paste it (ctrl+V). voila!! most of the time it works!!

I'm having the exact same dilemma! I went dress shopping yesterday for the first time, and I think I found my dress but I'm feeling like I probably should look in at least 1 other store!

I live in Queens too (Howard Beach).....so far I've checked out the following places: Lillette's in Baldwin, Macy's of Manhasset (I think they mostly carry Demetrios dresses if you want to check them out online), Lynbrook Bridal on Sunrise Hwy., The Wedding Plaza on Jericho Turnpike (near Floral Terrace), and Paradise Bridal in Patchogue- it was far but worth it!! they have a large selection of dresses. good luck!!!
