I have no clue and I don't want to know.
Let this be on thing your bridesmaids do FOR you. Doing all the work will sap all the fun out of it.

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
I'm having all of my BP and friends come over my new place for dinner, then we are getting a limo and going out in the Hamptons. It will turn into a slumber party (girls only of course) after the night out. I'll do bagels and fruit the next morning. Continued success to all...

Tammyjill- Don't sound so enthused. My girls keep asking me what I want. I would like to go to a few clubs in Manhattan. Any good new ones?

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
we're going to mangia e bevi in manhattan (i think maybe on 10th or so), it is an italian restaurant, not too expensive, that has good food, makes amazing shots and has tons of bachelor and bachelorette and birthday parties going on. they hand out tambourines and then throughout the night blast music and people holding tambourines get up on their chairs and dance (so do people not holding them). i've been there for bachelorette parties before and it is so much fun. then we're going to webster hall or somplace like that. its the bp and 3 of my close friends and we are renting a limo. no cheesy strippers for me.

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
My girls planned the entire evening for me without letting any of it slip to me - it was a total surprise. We did the Donkey Show (which I never thought of doing), dinner, and a dance-on-top-of-the-bar bar. We really had a blast. Perfect combination of woman talk (dinner), silly-fun (Donkey Show) and drinking/doing something we never do otherwise (dancing on the bar). THen we had a slumber party at my place and attempted to watch the original father of the bride with Elizabeth Taylor... but we fell asleep after the first 10 minutes.
I agree - let your party plan it - the surprises are fun. If you don't want strippers (I didn't) - just set limits.
Some other ideas: dinner & one of the following shows: Naked Boys Singing (honestly supposed to actaully be a good show) Vagina Monologues (another reputable show) Mama Mia (ABBA on broadway) Toni & Tina's Wedding (I'm doing that for my cousin's bachelorette party - although it wasn't my first choice)
OR Lucky Chens (I had fun, but I wouldnt go again - they smashed the penis cake Igot for my friend)
Culture Club (for a younger crowd though, i think)
That's what I know for now....

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
Over memorial day a few of my friends and went to San Diego and had a blast...we went with Site59
but for the local one (people who couldn't go to SD) I have a feuding BP about this...I told them what I wanted and what I didn't want and my sister and cousin (more conservative) are fighting it out with my friends (more on the wild-side)
I don't know, but I hope they can find a happy medium...b/c my sister is constantly complaining about this to me :(

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
I have requested NO bachelorette party. I would rather do a Day Spa with my friends, or go to a nice dinner. I am not a bar person and neither are most of them. I never give up the chance for a massage and pedicure :)

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
I'm a simple, old-fashioned girl -- so I demanded that my MOH include a strip club in my bachelorette party plans.
I planned my best friends batchelorrete party and it was a blast. We got a stretch limo and went out to a strip club in Jersey - I can't remember the name - anyway, the show was hysterical. They almost did skits - where the guys came in dressed as geeks or whatever & then they stripped down and were amazing! We had a table up front for our party. The best part about it is watching your friends get totally embarrassed or acting nuts -- we were butt-wasted so we were hysterical! After that, we ended up going out to a bar and just hanging out/talking, drinking beer & eating fried food.

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
Since half of my BP is from NJ, I think we're going to spend a weekend in AC, girls only! We're hopefully going to have a nice dinner, and hit a club at night. Should be fun, I can't wait!

Re: What is everyone doing for their Bachelorette Party?
I had 3 !
The one in San Francisco - my friends made a champagne brunch, and then we went to a bar/restaurant on the water. Hung out in the sun (and drank lots) - I had a lovely tiara and bride to be pin.
The one in NYC - After my bridal shower, we rented a limo and went to Naked Boys singing. Then we went to dinner and had lots of Sangria (my younger sister isn't 21 yet so we couldn't do clubs). Naked Boys singing is a crazy show - a lot of penis (!) in your face and geared towards a gay crowd. We had fun but were in the minority.
The one on Long Island - we went to the spa the day before the wedding with my bridal party and mom.
