Not Wedding...but its exciting!
I'm leaving Michaels arts and crafts after 6 yrs of part time and not getting paid enough!!! i finally got a new job!!! I'm gonna be a bank teller!!
anyone else a bank teller? if so is it easy...hard...fun??? hehe.
Just thought I'd share cause i'm actually happy about something!! haha.

I was a teller when I first started in banking. I loved it! The only problem I had was when you'd get the occasional crotchy person. Sometimes they can really get on your last nerve. But that's when you kill them with kindness! It worked everytime.

Congratulations!!! I worked as a bank teller while I went to college. That is actually where FH and I met, we worked together. It had to be one of the best jobs I had. Of course you will have the occassional cranky, annoying customers but it's not that bad.

I was also a bank teller in college - worked at the bank for 4.5 years! Started as a teller, and then got promoted to Cust. Service rep.
You will be fine! I miss having ALL the holidays off!!! (Now I work for an investment firm - and my co. is closed ONLY when the stock market is

I worked in banking for 7 years.. not as a teller, but I can tell you be very careful with your money bc if you don't prove at the end of the night, you can be there for hours!!!!!

I worked as a teller a few years ago. I wasn't too crazy about it....the bank was really pushing the tellers to sell products to the customers and such. I was an excellent teller but I'm not big on sales, lol. Nevertheless, I didn't stay there too long.
I think it really depends on the bank. I've been to other banks and the tellers aren't pushy or annoying with sales.
