Need to add stuff to my registries.. any ideas?

I had a shower down here in Maryland and Im having one in January in NY and my registries are a little sparse. (I know, poor me! )

Was there anything you registered for that you were pleasantly surprised with how much you use?

Anything unique that you registered for?

Anything people might not normally think of to add to their registry?

Re: Need to add stuff to my registries.. any ideas?

My friend got me this great hand blender/chopper by Cuisinart that I didn't register for but, I love.

We use our George Foreman a lot as well as our Crockpot.

I also registered for snack tables which we have been using recently too.

We have been loving the Cuisinart Griddler and I am really wanting the ravioli attachment for the kitchen aid mixer.

Barware is always a welcomed gift. You can never have enough bedding and towels. Snack trays are great. How about those breakfast in bed trays??

I put a folding table and folding chairs as well as an AeroBed on my registry.

These are things I know I will use and a little out of the box.

we got a waffle iron-- and i was like oh, cool but the thing is AWESOME! we literally use it every weekend-- the waffles come out so good. also, i have heard great things about the cuisinart mini-prep (similar to the magic bullet but supposedly made better)... we also got ourselves an ipod player-- plug the ipod in and it plays songs (like the bose one) but they have them at BBB and other places... then, we added something fun to the registry... check out the first couple of items! we are so excited to get this stuff-esp the chinese thing b/c when we have company over for chinese this "dresses it up"

Re: Need to add stuff to my registries.. any ideas?

ladies, when fiance and i registered for stuff, we put things like an iron, coffee pot, bakeware, comforter set, towels etc. i didnt put stuff on that was expensive, because if eel bad asking people to buy me that kind of stuff....

well, my cousin called me and said "i checked your registry. can you register for something that your family will want to get you, and leave the potato peelers for your friends to get, please?"

so, we added crystal stuff- kosta boda, wateford stuff- things to put on display, so that we can look at them and say "My aunt got me that gorgeous vase"...

Re: Need to add stuff to my registries.. any ideas?

Dont forget about all the kitchen gadgets. Someone can make you a basket with a whole bunch of stuff like a garlic crusher, potatoe peeler, ladle, cooking spoons, spatula, etc. Those things add up fast.
Also, what about things like laundry hamper, ironing board, bakeware (cupcake holder, muffin holder).
Bedding, towels, blankets, etc.
Frames, candles, photo albums etc.
Lamps, magazine rack etc.

Wow, this makes me want to go register again. :lol

don't forget, you could register for non-traditional (household) items too....

camcorder, camera, computer programs, other electronics.... You could also register for contributions towards a honeymoon or a downpayment on a house.....

Re: Need to add stuff to my registries.. any ideas?

While brusing my teeth the other night I was thinking of kitchen supplies that I can register for and a rolling pin came to mind.
FH and I have started our registry with WS, some of the items we've put on our list are:

Ice cream maker with a recipe book
If you like Mojitos you can register for a Mortar and Pestle.
Breading set (for when you make breaded chicken, etc).
Meat tenderizer (Chicken paillard)
Flavor injector (Thanksgiving turkey!!)
Bulb Baster
Grill press (yummmm bacon)
Garlic Press/Slicer

we are so not vegetarians
All of the items above are below $50.00.
