reception hall price
I have a friend who is looking into the Oheka Castle for a July wedding. I know there is a site fee, but does anyone know the approximate per person price? She doesn't want to go there and waste anyones time if it is way too over the top.

Oheka is extremely expensive. I heard it was a $10,000 site fee and over $150pp. I may be wrong but that's what I heard.

I think you're right Laura, A friend of mine went there a few weeks ago for a Sat day wedding Nov 07 and was quoted $9000 for the site fee and $250 per head

i know on their website it says $200-$500 per person & considering july it would be more like $300+ but i can be wrong- i know its very expensive!!!

I know a friend who got maried there in November one year and she paid a 10,000 site fee and like 125 pp.. I think that was cause it was November..

FH's sister got married there 3 years ago on a Sunday Evening on Mother's Day and it was $250pp, plus the site fee.

My friend got married there last year in July (Friday night) and paid $190 a person (and they said that was a good deal).

I've heard the same as well but the 300 person guarantee is not accurate. The weddings I've been to there had about 200 people. I don't know what was paid exactly, so I can't help there.

The prices are negotiable but I called there to make an appt. I asked about the site fee & cost pp. They didnt' want to say over the phone but since I live in Bosotn & would be coming all that way just to see that place (which is what I told them ), they budged. I was told the site fee for a Sat night in June 07 was $11K and the "basic menu" started at $300 pp. Needless to say, I decided to not make an appt.

A friend of mine priced it and for a June wedding the site fee was $11,000. I don't remember the plate price (kind of lost my hearing at that point ) And they ask for 25% up front to book the date.

You can definatly negotiate over off months but summer I highly doubt they will budge......The site in the summer will probably be 10,000 and 250 pp.....We got a much much better deal cause we are in December so maybe she will be willing to switch months or maybe shes loaded and can swing it I dunno but those are the prices for this year I am looking at my paper work now HTH

I also know the Melnus (sp) family that own, Oheaka... the only difference is I was quoted $50 less, not like it mattered, the place is still out of our budget
