Update!!!!!!!!! NWR: My dog had to go to the hospital......
and he got really sick. Can someone please recommend dog insurance of any kind. Thanks!
Update: Yesterday my husband brought him to the vet and did all sorts of test and everything that came up was pointing to his liver. Everything that is suppose to leave his system after eating is not, so it's becoming toxic in his body. They say he doesn't have that long since he is a small dog. They suggested surgery but that's $3000. We can't do that so we went the medicine and new diet route that his doctor recommended. :) I was very sad about it but then this morning he was actually barking and really happy. I havn't seen that in him for about a month. It was nice to see the medicine is working. My husband is hoping for a miracle that he stays with us for a long time but knowing he would be on medication the rest of his life. I will post pics of him tonight when I get home. I was just so sad last night that I just held him in my arms last night.

I have doggie insurance for Busey. We pay $12 a month- I will find out the detail tonight.
 for puppy! I hope he feels better! Do they know what's wrong?

His glucose was really low, and he has gingervitiz. He was throwing up last week. But we thought he was teething that is why he was not so active latly. Now we know he is sick. He has an appt with a vet today thank goodness.

aww i am so sorry - i just had a scare with my puppy and i know how horrible it feels!
i have been looking at VPI pet insurance but havent gotten around to purchasing it - the plans are about $100 to $400 a year depending on what it covers, with monthly payment plans available. . .
keep us updated!

I hope your puppy is okay Just FYI on the pet insurance, it won't cover a pre-existing condition. I wanted to get it for my doggie but previously (as a tiny puppy) we found out she had a heart condition and so the insurance would not cover this fact.

I work at an animal hospital in the Bronx...we recommended VIP insurance...1-800-USA-Pets Good luck

I use VPI -http://www.petinsurance.com/ -they are great. I also considered using Met life for pet insurance, but my company offers a discount with VPI, so I went with them. Good Luck! It's amazing how animals can heal themselves, I am glad you tried the less invasive method first!

I have VPI and it's great! Choose the superior plan. It's well worth it. They reimburse you nd you receive a check within a few weeks!
