Changing name at Social Security office
I believe it's in Freeport, can someone please confirm where it is and what I need-just the marriage certificate, right?

yes-
the original marriage certificate..and if you have your SS card that would probably help too.
They will give you a receipt indicating your request for the change and the new card will come in the mail.

A Tip...
I went to the office in Lindenhurst...its a small office and they were open at 8:50 and I was the first person in and I was out at 9:05! it was pretty painless. Also, DO NOT go at the begining of the month...too many people there getting their checks.
