We went to Hawaii, but did not get any deals. We spent a small fortune! But we felt it was a once in a lifetime trip and enjoyed every minute.

Same here...but it was totally worth it. The Four Seasons on the Big Island was AMAZING.

Re: hawaii honeymoon?
I once stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki for a work trip and the hotel was amazing. They had all of these tropical birds and gardens. I liked the hotel because it was at a slightly quieter end of Waikiki and the beach was really big and not crowded. I was surprised at how little beach there is in front of some of the hotels in Waikiki.
I did some of the typical tourist stuff - hiked up Diamond Head (great view of Waikiki from there), went to the Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, and drove around the Island. The Windward side is gorgeous. Also went snorkeling in Haunama Bay which was a lot of fun.
Sorry, I don't have any good deals to pass on. I know some people rent condos in Hawaii to save money since the hotels are expensive.
Good luck!
