FMIL & FH Vent
Last night FMIL calls me because she had a few questions that of course FH couldn't answer
The one question that she had that has gotten under my skin was the time of the wedding. We're getting married at the RH and the time for the ceremony is 11:30. She's like why is it so early so I explained that it was the only time that they do the ceremonies at the hall, even if we did it on a Saturday, it would still be the same time and that we would just have to pay more money because it was a Saturday. Then she's like well what time are you having your hair done, so I told her that I had someone coming to my house early in the morning because we have to be at Milleridge at 9 am for the photos. She's freaking out on where to get her hair done. Then she's worried about the NYC Marathon because the wedding is on the same day as the race. She has relatives coming in from Philly and she's afraid that they're going to be stuck going to the Verrazano.
So 10 last night, my phone rings and wakes me up. Its FH who just got off the phone with his mother. He's like I knew that I shouldn't have picked it up. She was venting her worries to him. So he tells me that he's surprised that the wedding was so early, he thought it was like around 1-1:30.
I said you were with me when we booked it 2 years ago, how can you tell me that you're surprised that the time!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea why the time of the wedding is such a huge surprise especially when everyone knew that it was early in the morning.
I have been so tense and high strung since Sunday with the wedding, I feel like I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. It feels like so much needs to be down and that I'm running out of time. We still haven't even gotten our apartment. FH is getting out of the Army pretty soon and has to find a job. Its just so much is going on. I swear getting married in Vegas is looking better everyday

WOW breath! I agree that you should talk with FH and let him know all the details so he knows and he can deal with his mother. If you did it 2 years ago come on why do people want you to change things last minute my goodness.

Take a breath! Don't stress. She should've gone over this with you earlier, she's had 2 years!
Tell her to have her relatives go over the George Washington Bridge, even if your wedding started later, the Verrazano Bridge would still be closed! Or tell her to suggest that maybe they come the night before so they don't have to drive that morning.
