cutting hair for wedding?

Hey ladies,

My good friend who has done my hair since she went to beauty school while we were in college together is going to do my hair on the wedding day. She told me she wants to cut 3 inches off my hair because she wants it to be full and when it's long, it looks very thin. I'm worried though that it will look too short. I dreamed of having the long curls for the wedding. after the cut and with the curls, it will be about shoulder length. what would you do?

FYI- we've already done one trial and it did not come out good, i wanted half up/half down and she put alot of it up which made it look really sparse in the back.

I would get clip in extensions - that way you can still have long full hair and no damage! You can get them at any beauty supply store or on-line - Here's a link to the ones Jessica Simpson wears:

I agree with the extensions idea...also if your hair is damaged at the ends the lenght it's going to make is look nice. Also, I would communicate with you friend like you would any other hair dresser...if you don't like what she did tell her. I'm sure she is use to it from her other clients
