To Invite or Not to Invite Flaky Friends!

Everyone has a flaky friend or two. They are the ones who are inconsiderate of other people's time. They are always late or may call you last minute AFTER the meeting time to say they can't make it.

I have quite a few of these types of friends from my old party days.

Should I even bother inviting these people?

When they are around, they are loads of fun. They just aren't very reliable.

I would like to think they wouldn't be a no show for the wedding but I can never be sure with them.

hmm if that were me i wouldnt invite them because then you will be worrying about them the whole time
i have snobby friends that i decided to not invite

It depends... are you still in close contact with them because if you are, flaky or not, not being invited might hurt them.

I DEFINITELY have a few of them... in fact.. I used to BE one of them!

I am inviting them. I hope they show up. I don't think they would RSVP yes and not make it... although they MIGHT forget to RSVP at all.

I will invite them. Then I will call them to make sure they are sending back the RSVP... and then I am going ot hope for the best!

don't bother...i decided to invite mine and none of them bothered to even RSVP...i mean, at least say no.

If they're friends - invite them. If they're just acquaintances then go with your gut.

i have a friend like this (he's even go so far as to give people a check for their wedding that bounced!). i decided not to invite b/c we are not in a position to lose the $ it would cost us to cover a seat for him & his guest and have so many other people who we'd like to include in our day. if we had more $$$ i'd probably invite and just chalk it up to a loss.
