Major Issues. Please, please, please HELP!!
OK, so Peanut, our 2 yr old Pomeranian got fleas this past May. So she had her Frontline, and we also gave her a flea bath. We cleaned the house TOP TO BOTTOM and bought some pesticide from Petco that we had to spray and leave the house for a minimum of an hour which we did. We cleaned all the linens, everything. She seemed better and we gave her the normal dosage of Frontline once June came.
Well, two days ago, low and behold, FLEAS AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Called the vet, they said we just have to keep cleaning everything on a weekly basis, focusing on where she spends most of her time as the larvae can survive up to 8 months without feeding.
Just hoping some fellow pet lovers can give me some pointers as to what we can do to get this infestation out of our home for good.
Please help us!!! TIA!

I would call an exterminator. Growing up, our cat brought fleas into the house and it got pretty bad. I started getting bitten. We combed him regularly, gave him regular flea baths (not too often though, otherwise, you'll poison the animal! We found that out the hard way ) The only thing that really really helped was having an exterminator come to the house monthly to spray for fleas.
good luck!

Thanks for the advice! We actually called 2 exterminators, both told us we did not have an infestation. So we took Peanut to the vet and it turns out she got bit by a flea, but was allergic to the saliva and broke out!
The gave her a shot of courtazone (sp is def. wrong) and 2 different pills. Sure enough she is better. The vet told us to just vacuum weekly and we will be set. Thank goodness!
